I probably would have checked or mini-raised on the flop since there are still two players in.

As you was the pre-flop aggressor and you hit a gutshot draw then pushing all in was a correct play IMO as a 2/3 pot raise would have been more than 50% of your stack anyway.

I would definately make a note on the player though re:on how he played after hitting a mid set.

standard would be checkbehind as you dont have a strong draw

@john: a minbet is not at all an option! all you achieve is to reopen the betting round!

one can push here if you think the opponents will fold often enough (if not, you still have up to 10 outs)

Or test if the villian is slowplaying without comitting your entire stack. But I guess I was speaking a bit retrospectively there having seen the results. You'll have to forgive me, it's really late

Yes, check behind vs 2. You have position so a check is not seen as weakness, you still have your pre-flop initiative going to the turn. In this case a Q comes for you and you are in a much better spot, able to raise or reraise with confidence (in this hand you are facing a cooler, hard to get away from, but if the turn blanks its doubtful the set will check again and will help you by betting you out). Fold flop to any bet more than 1:4 bet size
Never minbet, its like throwing your bait into the water and hoping to attract fish. At the end of the day you have less bait and less fish.
