They never fold when we are behind :f_cry:

Well but it is good that you really stop playing when you hit your stop/loss. It happened to me (well now on NL2 i really don't need stop/loss) that i hit it in 10 minutes and really needed to give few more stacks away to realize that it is really time to leave the tables and go to bed .

Poker oh Poker why you are so cruel to us?! :f_p:

It wasn't always like that ... :f_biggrin: :f_mad: You say you lost a few more BI's when you weren't supposed to, but a very long time ago I - ME - happened to lost entire BR ... So what do you say to that I say I had a VERY GOOD STOP-LOSS MANAGEMENT

Yeah but anyway, I'm waaaay more calm now :) Plus, right now I actually just cannot afford to go past my SL, cause I'm just gonna be broke again Cause yeah, since I bought Pleno's pack, right now I'm playing on a VERY aggro BRM I don't even wanna say what it is So yeah ... If I hit my stop loss, unfortunately I just ABSOLUTELY HAVE to stop ;) And try other day, hopefully playing better and with a little bit of more luck on my side :)

Poker oh Poker why you are so cruel to us?! :f_p:
:f_biggrin: :f_thumbsup: I guess he's like our parents - we have to learn a lot of hard lessons at first till life is beautiful :]

Decided to kick-in a little session for fun while waiting for my ride to come pick me up ...

This is what I get.

BB: $54.25 (108.5 bb)
UTG: $53.11 (106.2 bb)
MP: $50.50 (101 bb)
CO: $51 (102 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K♠ K♣
3 folds, Hero raises to $1, SB raises to $4, BB folds, Hero raises to $11, SB calls $7

Flop: ($22.50) 6♦ 4♠ 8♦ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12.75, SB raises to $135.07 and is all-in, Hero calls $51.85 and is all-in

Turn: ($151.70) 3♦ (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($151.70) A♦ (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Spoiler

Results: $151.70 pot ($2.50 rake)

87% on flop, 93% on turn, 0% on the river.
SB showed A♣ Q♣ and won $149.20 ($73.60 net)
No equity, no re-draw. But he has an ACE ! right ? ... And Ace is ALWAYS LIVE, right ? Good job, mate.

So this was fun. Awesome.

Oh and by the way ... Looked at some statistics for fun ... So yeah ...

Since I started playing 6max zoom, I've been all-in pre-flop with KK 8 times. And you know what my winning rate is there ? 0% ZERO FCKNG PERCENT Lost 4 times vs AA, one time vs AQs, one time vs AJs, one time vs KQs, and one time vs QQ ... And obviously post-flop all-ins are not going that great either with my kings ... so yeah, cool stuff. I'm glad now that I'm going away now for a few days. Need to recalibrate :( Where's my fckng luck all the time ?? God ... Bleah :f_o:

Ok, FIRST OF ALL - Thank You Alan for a LOT of nice words ! ;) It really feels GREAT to have You following me here, and more importantly NOT JUST following, but commenting/interacting here with me as well ! So really BIG THANKS to You for that :f_love:

Ok and now secondly ... It is obvious that I've been away for far longer than I planned/expected to be, but, yeah ... I would call it --> "life happens". ;) And the reasons behind it I don't think is important right now as much, its just safe to say that yeah - I DID FAIL with my initial goals for the time being. And not only that, but I guess I will fail this week again, or at least this is what I think right now that would realistically "should" happen 80% of the time, or so ... Well but anyway. It is what it is, and more importantly - I cannot turn back time unfortunately, so let's just focus on WHAT CAN BE. So the past few weeks are just "gone", let's not whine about that anymore, leaving me just with ONE week actually DONE regarding my TaskTable. So let's call this following week the "week no.2", and go from there. Although, yeah, I've already admitted that I'm probably gonna fail this one too, but ! I still think it's better than to do NOTHING. Because honestly - up until Monday morning, I really thought I'm still not gonna do ANYTHING related to poker for the whole another week. But ... yeah, somehow here I am, deciding to do AT LEAST something, and maybe ... MAYBEEEE get BACK slowly into my "schedule". So ... everything being said, I KNOW I failed BIG TIME up until this point, AND ! neither this is the first time, nor it is the 5th, or smth, BUT ! let's not get carried away by this sad, although REAL, but still - negative - stuff, and do my best to somehow get back in everything. As said - yeah - SLOWLY - BUT ! - I still think it's better than nothing.

So I watched already a few Pleno's videos today/yesterday, probably gonna keep watching more, either new, or re-watch the "old" ones, not sure yet, and maaaaaybe I'm gonna play some zoom. Either nl50 or nl25. Or maybe not at all. Again - really not sure. Cause I did a small "feeler" session yesterday, actually, and yeah - not to whine too much here again, but when you "get back after a break" and it INSTANTLY goes like this [that I'm gonna post below], it really does not give too much motivation to continue ;)

Whine-hand no.1:

Spoiler

SB: $218.7 (437.4 bb)
Hero (MP): $53.75 (107.5 bb)

SB is a fish.

Preflop: Hero is MP with K♥ T♥
UTG folds, Hero raises to $1.25, CO calls $1.25, BTN folds, SB calls $1, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($5) T♠ 5♣ K♦ (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $3.75, CO folds, SB calls $3.75, BB folds

Turn: ($12.50) 4♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $9.75, SB calls $9.75

River: ($32) 5♦ (2 players)
SB bets $30.05, Hero calls $30.05

Have a bad feeling that he DID hit this 5 somehow, but ... Can you really fold vs fish ?

Spoiler

Results:
SB showed 5♥ J♥ and won
Hero mucked K♥ T♥ and lost
Flop 88.5%, Turn 95.5%, River 0%.

Whine-hand no.2:

Spoiler

SB: $171.15 (342.3 bb)
Hero (UTG): $50.50 (101 bb)

Opened this pre-flop JUST because ALL guys from CO till BB were huge fishes.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J♦ K♠
Hero raises to $1.50, 3 folds, SB calls $1.25, BB folds

Flop: ($3.50) K♥ 3♦ J♣ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.75, SB calls $2.75

Turn: ($9) 8♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7.75, SB calls $7.75

River: ($24.50) Q♦ (2 players)
SB bets $23.50, Hero calls $23.50

Yet again, pretty sure that I'm beat, but ... yet YET again - can I fold this VS FISH ?? ..

Spoiler

Results:
SB showed T♣ A♣ and won
Hero mucked J♦ K♠ and lost
Flop 79.1%, Turn 90.9%, River 0%.

And yep YEP, I KNOW it is ALL STANDARD, nothing to whine too much about it, thank god THERE ARE players like this, but given the whole "context of my situation" ... IT IS quite sad to try to get back to the game being again ORDINARILY sucked out in 2-minute-interval TWICE. Both being >90% favorite. I mean, come on ... :f_confused:

Well but anyway - as already said - not committing to anything myself right now, rather just wanna see how "IT goes". All in all - hopefully I can slowly get back into my "rhythm" to successfully start week no.3 [02.10-02.16]. That would be "the goal" now.

My pleasure really. It is an enjoyment to follow your journey. Actually i know exactly how though is the game these days. I failed at this pressure of everyday swings and i have to say that without PokerStrategy i would never played NL25 and i would give up 1000 times until now :f_biggrin:

So i wish you to get back ASAP to your daily routine and i hope EV will work for you this time :f_cool:

Good luck.

PS: The study group i was talking about in my posts is not that active anymore. We were chosen as an experiment which i think failed. If there will be any new activity i will let you know.

Also, managed to put-in my desired volume today, 1.051 hands total. But it is just because decided to 4-table today, rather than "normal" 2-tabling. Mixed some nl25 and nl50 for the most part. Unfortunately the whole session I was slowly going down and down, when just in the very end managed to win FIRST 100BB pot, leaving me with the total of -0.5BI for the day. Cya tomorrow maybe

Oh, and here it is my "Bluff of the day"

Hero (BTN): $57.16 (114.3 bb)
SB: $61.77 (123.5 bb)
BB: $50 (100 bb)
UTG: $55.70 (111.4 bb)
MP: $51.24 (102.5 bb) BIG FISH ;)
CO: $55.78 (111.6 bb) Kinda unknown.

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 6♥ 7♥
UTG folds, MP raises to $1, CO raises to $3, Hero calls $3, 2 folds, MP calls $2

Flop: ($9.75) 3♠ 8♠ J♥ (3 players)
MP checks, CO bets $5.75, Hero calls $5.75, MP folds

Turn: ($21.25) K♦ (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $13.75, CO calls $13.75

River: ($48.75) 7♠ (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $34.66 and is all-in, CO folds

Interesting hand. Don't you think it is just easier to fold that? I think we really need a very good reson to call that.

Would you be so kind to explain it to me why have you called? I would just insta fold :f_biggrin:

Good luck and see you soon.

Oh by all means it was too TOO SPECULATIVE ;) a 100% standard fold pre ;) Just the thing is, I decided kinda to "use the context" [if of course there were any ] and in the "worst case scenario" I thought that by the turn everything should have been kinda face up from my opponents, so ... I decided to risk a little bit --> and outplay them post-flop :) FISH MIN-raised, and supposedly an unknown-reg [cause of his minimal stat sample] decided to iso-raise [3bet] him. And it was a relatively small raise, given the fact that i AM IN POSITION, that I have a playable hand, meaning if I hit a draw, I can play it well IN POSITION and more often that not get paid off, and of course if I call - FISH will most definitely call as well, meaning I have nice odds pre also :) So yeah ... DEFINITELY it is NOT standard, but I decided to read the whole situation as I did in the first place, and ... Try to outplay them postflop ;) OTF, I expect CO to cbet like almost 100% of his bluffs, if there were any, and, of course, good made hands. But since fish is still in the pot, I have nice backdoors, and his cbet is kinda small [also, meaning there is a good chance that he's not that strong, since "big bets= big hands, small bets = weak hands" theorem :P], so I decided to peal one, hoping that fish will come along too, giving me better odds. But OTT ... I DO expect him to be barreling almost always his TOP range, so when he checks ... I don't think he's got AA, JJ, THAT often [and 1/2 of his AK I guess] ... More like QQ, AJ, [and another 1/2 of his AK] or completely giving up ... So I bet :P And he calls ... but OTR I still feel that his range is SO capped, and he is almost never THAT strong, whereas I ... I can have almost anything here, and much MUCH stronger than his holdings :) especially when that flush hits :) I STILL DO think it is a very good spot to BLUFF here and make him fold his AJ, Kx, QQ, or even AA ;) I don't know ... Well at least that's what I thought You asked me ... I'm still a big fish, so ... :f_cool:

I think that preflop call is reasonable since MP is a huge fish and he is going to call almost always + we're in position vs regular who has to play straight forward since there's a fish in the pot. But to make our call profitable preflop we must punish regulars weak range when he checks on the flop or on the turn. Folding preflop is perfectly fine for sure too.

Flop call is questionable since fish is still in the pot. I don't think we have enough implied odds to call with our backdoor draws. If fish calls we're kinda screwed since I don't think we should make big bluffs vs. fish.

As played turn/river really well played since villain has almost always QQ/AJ, maybe TT. And I do think that regular is folding those hands most of the time.

But that is kinda the point --> I DO NOT want to bluff that much anymore IF fish calls, at least OTT, I just hope to hit some equity :) as well as the "supposedly reg" to play VERY straight forward then, IF both of us call, meaning, we could VERY WELL ALL X the turn :) And then go from there :) aaaanyway, I still 100% agree that IT IS a VERY questionable and speculative hand all in all ;) I guess just all the circumstances turned in my favor after all in the end, and I decided to use them :) And make a good assumption, imo, that Villain's range IS NOT that strong here, and make a good bluff after all, imo, no matter how questionable the whole hand was before the river :) it's just that, nothing more :)

WEEK 2 Review

Gonna keep this very short. Cause there's not much to say actually ... Too many things been [and still are, and will be ...] on my mind lately. My mind is a complete mess. I AM a complete mess. Can't "collect myself" at all and do a single fckng thing PROPERLY. CONSTANTLY ... IMPROVING [what a joke] ... Not for me, not right now. Feeling like a BIG LOSER, and the worst part is - not doing anything to change that. Probably should change the title of the blog to "and still keep SUCKING in 2014". Would reflect the reality much-much-MUCH more.

Task Table

Looking overall at the "total score", ironically I DID beat the "first week's" score by one point, but ... First of all, it is kinda "on technicality", cause I've introduced one more task on the second week, and yeah, even though it does count, but the general feeling that I have ... I do not feel good AT ALL. In my eyes and in my mind I am still failing, and failing BIG TIME ... Just look at the "poker" section, and you'll understand.

Playing

Not much to say here either, except, looking at the graph we can safely conclude two things:

1. VOLUME is just PATHETIC. Not that I didn't expect that, already knew I was gonna fail, but ... But still feels sad to look back and REALLY SEE IT.

2. I am still [surprise, surprise ??!   ] a VERY BAD PLAYER. Just look at that blue line, and steadily rising red one ... So not much to say here either.

Conclusions&Expectations

The only thing to conclude here is - I SUCK.

The only thing to expect for the following week - I WILL SUCK MORE. And this is said in all seriousness actually. Even though I "got away" this week on technicality by somehow beating first week's total score, I REALLY do not expect to succeed this third week, so ... Yey ! I'm pretty excited ! MORE SUCKING ! Gotta love that !

The end.
