I still don't feel like I deserve this attention/compliments ... Of course, it is quite a nice feeling when you're not completely alone here in this blog, and occasionally someone writes something here, but I'm definitely nothing yet to be admired or followed for ... You'll see what I mean when I post this first week's TaskTable ... I really SUCK so far :( So given how much I see other members put effort, I'm just way waaaay below average :f_mad:

But anyway, I really hope I can turn this around some time in the long future, baby steps, baby steps ... so thx, man, for kind words ! I hope we'll live to see those extraordinary times when I actually do feel like I deserve nice words, and can just say "yeah, I really worked hard, thx man, I deserve this compliment" :f_cool:

Your blog followers will create enough pressure to you so you will work very hard. And i am pretty sure you want to keep Pleno motivated. :f_biggrin:

WEEK 1 Review

Task Table

So overall, looking back at the first week, even though I started it really sloppy, eventually I cannot say that I am too disappointed with myself :) So I guess that's good :) Here's how the TaskTable for this week looks:

"Not so good" things
Two things that stands out the most here, are: volume and two tasks from the learning part. But I'm not surprised and disappointed about the latter at all, cause as mentioned in the OP, regarding learning, the first 3-4 weeks my whole focus here will be going 95% to Pleno's course, so :) Even though the whole two rows looks completely red, it is okay for now, cause it was expected. Unfortunately what was NOT expected at all, and the only place where I AM actually DISAPPOINTED with myself is of course volume ... Even though I play zoom, but still 2-tabling goes extremely slow right now, considering the amount of hands played. However, it is not THAT shocking, because I DO spend a LOT on EACH hand, meaning I ALWAYS think what and WHY am I folding, or what and WHY am I going to play. And that goes for every single hand preflop, so the only ones that really ARE QUICK FOLDED, look like 8:c2:s in UTG for ex But all of the others are "thought-about", cause I'm trying to look at the table first, what kind of ppl are sitting there, what are they stacks, are there any fish, do I have stats, what are the preflop ones that my opr/steal might be profitable, what are the postflop ones, that I can still justify my open, and so on ... And the whole same process goes postflop as well ... Really trying to THINK what are the reasons of betting in every spot, of checking back, folding, raising, etc ... WHY do I do this and that in every unique spot. So yeah, I don't know, maybe a lot of people would say that this play is kinda wrong, to spend so much time in relatively easy, common, "raise&take-it" spots, but I don't care actually that much, cause it is just what I DO now. What I WANT to do. UNDERSTAND the principles of the game, hidden behind decisions. Not just follow "laws" of certain opening ranges by autopilot. So yeah ... That is why the volume goes VEEEERY slow for me now. But I hope it won't last THAT long, since the normal assumption would be to make here, that I WILL improve in my thinking eventually, and the thought processes should be quicker, therefore time spent for each hand will be shorter, as well as I will be able to open more tables, WHILST the quality should more or less stay the same, so ... That is the goal, and I hope I can make it some day :) So that being said, all in all, that first red row is NOT a tragedy, but I can definitely find some more time to play, what would naturally lead to bigger volume. So yeah, if I can make at least one green day this week in this first row - I say it would be great :) and IF I can make even two - that would be more than perfect :) So let's just have this "secret goal" alongside this week, but still leaving the "official" "perfect run" to the value of 4 :)

Good things
Overall this first week I see I managed to do 6 ! Perfect Runs ! out of possible 13, so that's almost 50% of "perfectness" ! And I say it's quite good :) Actually the whole "life" block is very close to perfectness, just two sloppier days, but that's completely normal I think, even 3 sloppier days wouldn't be bad in my opinion :) So yeah, generally I think I really did good there for the first week :) BUT ! Of course there's definitely quite some room for improvement, still quite enough red cells we see there, so yeah - let's keep moving forward And 45 is the number to beat this 2nd week ! :)

Playing

However, even though I TRY to think a lot at the tables and improve my game, things still don't look too good to me. Have a LOT of leaks, am too aggressive, fighting for pots too much, and maybe even trying to outplay everyone unconsciously ... So yeah, spewing way too much, getting my self in marginal spots too often with weak ranges, and in general still playing quite BAD imo ... :f_cry: Even though the sample is so little, but I think the blue line, as well as too high red line, says it all ... :(

Total of 1.701 hands, 11.4bb/100, 32-24 with 11% total 3bet

So yeah, definitely a SUPER-LOT room to improve _evil:

And finally, here is a superly-bad played hand that qualifies for the "Hand of the Week" title It was already posted for my "contest" earlier this week, but without wholecards. I am very embarrassed by it, so let's finally "leak this in public" so that I can push myself towards improving even harder _evil:

BTN: $132.74 (265.5 bb)
SB: $46.25 (92.5 bb)
BB: $61.53 (123.1 bb)
UTG: $33.98 (68 bb)
MP: $36.93 (73.9 bb)
Hero (CO): $51.61 (103.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with T♣ 9♥
2 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, BTN raises to $4, 2 folds, Hero raises to $9.75, BTN calls $5.75

The hand is quite bad to 4bet-BLUFF here with, cause I don't block almost any of his value range, and if I do get called I am OUT OF POSITION with quite a weak hand, which is not even suited, BUT ! since he was 3betting BTN a LOT [over a small sample ... ], I still decided to playback and 4bet here ... And on top of everything, I think my sizing is also BAD

Flop: ($20.25) J♠ 4♠ Q♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $12.25, BTN calls $12.25

Turn: ($44.75) 8♥ (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Since I hit the relative nuts OTT, decided to check in order to keep his medium strong hands, and also let him bluff considering that he probably doesn't have any bluffs by this time in his range anyway, cause it is a 4BET-POT ! ... - forgot that it is not a single-raised one ...

River: ($44.75) 8♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $17.50, BTN raises to $110.74 and is all-in, Hero calls $12.11 and is all-in

And if we thought that so far the hand was played horrendously bad and nothing just CAN'T go more worse, then just look at this river .... I absolutely hated to see the board pair, cause I no longer have the nuts, and villain could definitely some of the time I think have slowplayed JJ, QQ ... But so I just bet [and look at my sizing here ], praying that he doesn't shove, and surprise surprise - he DOES shove  and I just feel absolutely sick, cause I don't see any single thing that I beat anymore, given how it all played out, and the man definitely knows that he doesn't have ANY fold equity here when I'm left with 12$ in a 92$ pot So he's definitely VALUE shoving here ... BUT ! What do I care, I'm a FISH and I just call anyway ...

Spoiler

Results: $103.97 pot ($2.50 rake)
BTN showed T♥ J♥ and lost (-$51.61 net)
Hero showed T♣ 9♥ and won $101.47 ($49.86 net)

So yeah, thank god that he somehow was EVEN BIGGER fish than me

Yeah, so that is basically how I played last week ...

Let's do a bit better this week ! _evil: So here we go ! :f_cool:

Ok so, Monday went pretty well Finally :f_pleased: Not only did 85% of ALL tasks, but also managed to reach the desired amount of volume for the first time ! _smile:

Considering "playing department" - not only finally had a long winning session but also felt like I was playing my A-B game the whole time ! :f_biggrin: And THAT, my friends, is a B-E-A-UTIFUL feeling ! :f_love:

Total of 1.040 hands, 36.3bb/100, 26-19 with 10% total 3bet

I think Pleno's videos worked like a charm + I also worked really hard with myself to NOT spew too much, to NOT open THAT MANY hands preflop, to NOT be THAT aggresive, to NOT go after every pot and let others SOMETIMES win  And despite, of course !, some mistakes, still overall I think I played pretty well yesterday ! :) And f*cking finally that blue line is also going UP ! :f_love: Not sky-rocketing of course, and still below the red line, but meh ... Baby steps ! =) Even stats look a bit on a normal'ish side, not a completely spew monkey'ish as last week indicated So I just hope I can keep up on this :f_cool:

And here comes some interesting/nice hands, imo :f_cool:

This right here I think is with a b-e-a-utiful check-behind OTT :]

BTN: $72.31 (144.6 bb)
SB: $109.33 (218.7 bb)
Hero (BB): $59.74 (119.5 bb)
UTG: $118.73 (237.5 bb)
MP: $59.62 (119.2 bb)
CO: $54.92 (109.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6♦ A♣
4 folds, SB raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3) A♦ 8♥ Q♠ (2 players)
SB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

Turn: ($6) 7♦ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($6) 2♥ (2 players)
SB bets $8.50, Hero calls $8.50

Spoiler

Results: $23 pot ($1.04 rake)
SB showed J♦ K♥ and lost (-$11.50 net)
Hero showed 6♦ A♣ and won $21.96 ($10.46 net)

--------------------------------------------------------

And this one I think is with a b-e-a-utiful induce vs fish OTR :]

Preflop though, I guess is a bit too loose of a call in general, I'd rather 3bet-bluff this hand SB vs MP, but since in this particular instance both the open-raisor and the guy in the BB looked like fishes, I decided to just peel pre and play a pot with them

BTN: $63.46 (126.9 bb)
Hero (SB): $59.96 (119.9 bb)
BB: $29.81 (59.6 bb)
UTG: $50.75 (101.5 bb)
MP: $147.72 (295.4 bb)
CO: $200.97 (401.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A♠ J♦
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.25, BB folds

Flop: ($3.50) A♥ T♠ A♣ (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $2.50, Hero calls $2.50

Turn: ($8.50) 8♥ (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks

River: ($8.50) 7♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $3, MP raises to $9, Hero calls $6

Spoiler

Results: $26.50 pot ($1.19 rake)
Hero showed A♠ J♦ and won $25.31 ($12.31 net)
MP showed 2♣ 3♣ and lost (-$13 net)

--------------------------------------------------------

And this luck-box I think is with a b-e-a-utiful bet vs fishe's capped range OTR :]

Normally I would just FOLD preflop, though, but this time again both BTN and BB were fishes, so I wanted to play a pot with them

BTN: $53.59 (107.2 bb)
Hero (SB): $50.25 (100.5 bb)
BB: $25 (50 bb)
UTG: $51.03 (102.1 bb)
MP: $148.76 (297.5 bb)
CO: $57.60 (115.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3♠ 3♦
3 folds, BTN raises to $1, Hero calls $0.75, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($3) 5♠ 2♠ 2♣ (3 players)
Hero bets $2, BB calls $2, BTN folds

Turn: ($7) K♦ (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks

River: ($7) 3♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $12, BB calls $12

Spoiler

Results: $31 pot ($1.40 rake)
Hero showed 3♠ 3♦ and won $29.60 ($14.60 net)
BB mucked 4♦ 5♦ and lost (-$15 net)

Hit my stop/loss

Played VERY BAD in general

Made a few BIG BLUFFS where twice I just ran in Villains' absolute TOP of the range and once the guy just DIDN'T WANT to fold his weak TP ...

Lost all the profit made on Monday

Didn't play yesterday cause of some health [eyes] issues, and now going away a bit for Thu-Sun, so total volume for this week gonna be 1.300 hands ...

Also, obviously not gonna hit last week's score

So when I get back on Monday, will have some serious working to do for the following week
