OK, so ... This Tuesday started off really bad, was expecting NOTHING from myself, except for more sucking, and then more sucking again. BUT ! Some news came across my ears ... That one of my favorite bands are having a concert this summer at a location where I - ME - MYSELF could actually go finally, and fckng hear them LIVE, that I dreamed of ohhhh for so long, and ... I decided that screw everything, I'm definitely going there ! And sacrificed 1.5BI, which I actually shouldn't do it, cause I'm on quite an uber-aggro brm, but ... I realized that I really cound't let this opportunity pass, so ... I bought the ticket !! And that actually had kinda a "wake-up-call" impact on me, so I just got out of bed, and ... Made a personal record Did 11 out of 14 possible tasks today !! Which includes the one that I struggle most usually - volume ;) So yeah, pretty proud of myself eventually ... ;) And fck me, but I HAVE TO KEEP IT THAT WAYYYY !!! aaaaaa !! :f_cool: So, Alan, and whoever else is reading this [or I should say - Lord? ] - "please grant me the strength for that"

And regarding poker results for today, 80% of the total session was going really good, I think I really played my A, B+ game the whole time, was almost 4BI up, and then ... My friend LUCK came to visit me as always So by the time I reached my 1.000 hand target, in the last 200 I lost almost all of my winnings But yeah, ended up still $+11, so whatever, still better than $-150 ;) And here are a few whines

BTN: $39.61 (79.2 bb) BTN looking at his stack also presumably a fish.
SB: $51 (102 bb)
BB: $50 (100 bb)
UTG: $50.75 (101.5 bb)
Hero (MP): $69.74 (139.5 bb)

River: ($95.97) 7:diamond: (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Spoiler

Results: $95.97 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: 3:heart: A:diamond: J:diamond: Q:diamond: 7:diamond:
BTN showed 3:club: 3:spade: and lost (-$39.61 net)
BB showed A:club: 9:diamond: and won $93.47 ($53.86 net)
Hero mucked Q:heart: Q:club: and lost (-$13.50 net)

Hero (BTN): $50.75 (101.5 bb)
SB: $50.25 (100.5 bb)
BB: $96.26 (192.5 bb)
UTG: $40.95 (81.9 bb)
MP: $48.73 (97.5 bb) Looking at his stack, presumably a fish.
CO: $50.75 (101.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q:spade: K:spade:
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.50, CO folds, Hero calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($3.75) K:diamond: J:club: Q:diamond: (2 players)
MP bets $2, Hero raises to $6.50, MP raises to $11, Hero raises to $49.25 and is all-in, MP calls $36.23 and is all-in

Turn: ($98.21) 4:spade: (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($98.21) 4:heart: (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Not sure that I can NOT GO broke here vs fish, but ... Still posted for evaluation. But I really don't see HOW can I fold here vs possible fish EVER.

Spoiler

Results: $98.21 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: K:diamond: J:club: Q:diamond: 4:spade: 4:heart:
Hero showed Q:spade: K:spade: and lost (-$48.73 net)
MP showed 9:diamond: T:spade: and won $95.71 ($46.98 net)

Hero (BTN): $74.38 (148.8 bb)

Flop: ($4.75) 8:diamond: 9:club: J:diamond: (3 players)
BB checks, MP bets $3, Hero raises to $9, BB folds, MP calls $6

Turn: ($22.75) 2:diamond: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $15.25, MP calls $15.25

River: ($53.25) A:heart: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero checks

Spoiler

Results: $53.25 pot ($2.40 rake)
Final Board: 8:diamond: 9:club: J:diamond: 2:diamond: A:heart:
Hero mucked 8:club: 8:heart: and lost (-$25.75 net)
MP showed K:diamond: 5:diamond: and won $50.85 ($25.10 net)

So yeah ... One might say I played these hands badly, but I'd still like to think that they were more unfortunate for me rather than I made bad decisions, and luck has nothing to do with it.

Anyway ! Off to bed ! Cya tomorrow ! Hopefully I can make myself proud again ! :f_biggrin:

Goodnight !

Ok so, here's a nice hand I've just played ! It is called "Too-Much-Leveling

If anyone doesn't know HOW "too much leveling yourself" look like, here's a perfect example

BTN: $131.84 (263.7 bb)
SB: $50 (100 bb)
Hero (BB): $50 (100 bb)
UTG: $45.50 (91 bb)
MP: $51.37 (102.7 bb)
CO: $57.78 (115.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:diamond: T:spade:
2 folds, CO raises to $1.25, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.75) 3:heart: K:spade: J:heart: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.75) 6:spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($5.75) 3:diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $4, CO raises to $17.50, Hero raises to $47.25 and is all-in, CO calls $29.75

Spoiler

Results: $100.25 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: 3:heart: K:spade: J:heart: 6:spade: 3:diamond:
Hero showed A:diamond: T:spade: and lost (-$50 net)
CO showed 3:club: A:club: and won $97.75 ($47.75 net)

So the guy was a 4-tabling regular, not much stats on him though, but already had a slight tendency for aggressiveness. So when I bet that river and he raises me SO MUCH, I thought there is NO WAY he has a strong hand there [3x or better], or at least he would raise SMALLER, because now - there is almost literaly NOTHING worse that can call his BIG raise. So since he was reg, I thought he had put me on a weakish range here on OTR, which, actually, much more often that not WOULD BE TRUE, so by raising THIS BIG I thought he just HAS to be BLUFFING. Cause he just represents almost nothing here, except of some slowplayed stuff, or that A3 in rare occasions. Which, by the way, then again - I really thought he would raise SMALLER. Cause I don't have much there EVER, and he WANTS his raise to be called, so ... By making this big, he's just scaring anything weaker that might potentially had called a smaller raise. So anyway, I really thought that he was just making a fancy play here, and BLUFFING But since I, myself, just have an Ace high, I can't actually just call here and expect to win that often, cause he might be very well turned his weak Jx [maybe], or 6x, or small PP into a bluff, and I for certain can't beat any of these, so ... I just RE-BLUFF shove on him Aaaaaand as it turns out ... He DID have that 3x, and was somehow value raising THAT BIG I'm still not sure what worse does he expect me as a Villain to have here, that I could call on THIS river, considering HOW ALL the BETTING went before, but ... Luckily for him, he found the perfect guy to still do that against So yeah ... This is HOW TOO MUCH LEVELING YOURSELF looks like  Don't do that

P.S. But I still like how I played here, and I DO like my reasoning :P I think it is a pretty nice and interesting hand here :P Just applied vs wrong opponent :P "too much leveling" ... :P

Ok, so. Quick update.

Good news.

If yesterday, since I introduced my TaskTable, was the best day EVER, considering the total amount of daily tasks done per day, which was the personal record for me [11 out of possible 14], then today ... Today is a new record again, cause I've done 12 out of 14. Actually, it even might be called 12 out of 12 - 100%!, cause there are two tasks in poker section which from the very beginning I did not plan to do for like a few months cause of Pleno's pack [mentioned in OP], so they just sit there bringing me "negative red cells" [lol], so I might even consider just taking them off for a little while, so that this TaskTable would reflect the "expected reality" better. But anyway, its just technicality. All in all, today is the best possible day ever, considering daily tasks done. Literally not possible to do anything better for now. So one "yey" for me ... But ... This brings me to the next part -->

Bad news.

And yeah, of course it is about what is happening at the tables ... I did my desired volume two days in a row [which by itself is a very big accomplishment to me], but ... First day ended up break-even, and today I'm 2BI down. Yes, a lot might say "what ? JUST that ? what are you whining about here then ??", but it is really NOT about the NUMBERS. It is about the unbelievable amount of "ridiculousness" going on around me, in this unique context in general. I really and honestly don't get it anymore ... Yes, of course I didn't play like the best player in the world, of course I made a LOT of mistakes, BUT ! I also made a LOT of GOOD plays ! Much MUCH MUCH more often than not I KNEW what I was doing and WHY. But just fck me ... River killed me SO SO MANY times ... And this all happen NOT while in small pots, but of course - all of them in the big ones ... Winning my small pots, but loosing all the big ones ... And there still are SOOO MANY fishes ... But they ALL just keep hitting and hitting versus me ... It is not even fun anymore. And it happens ALWAYS when I seem to "stand up", "pull myself together", and "restore my levels of motivation", I mean ALL the things that I've been struggling for a while, and JUST WHEN I find some strength in me to finally "keep going", poker just decides a very plain and simple thing to do - FCK ME He just looks at me, and says, ohhhhhh, you sonofabi*ch, you GOT UP AGAIN ?? ooookaayyyy then, have some more ! Cheers ! I mean, really ... It is REALLY NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. I don't know what else to do ...

OK. Well the ONLY thing to do here, I guess, is to just keep doing what I've been doing, and do it for much much longer than few days or weeks, and patiently WAIT for something to finally turn around ... Cause it just HAS TO ... someday ... Hasn't it ? ... Don't know shit anymore. Gonna try to keep doing what I've done before, not give up, go into more I guess apathetic/numb mode, and stop expecting fun here, and see where it leads me ... But it is still just ... SAD.

Goodnight

just kidding ofc , as someone said, "We don't need to understand variance, we just need to make peace with it".

Dat true ... :f_cry: :f_p:

as someone said, "We don't need to understand variance, we just need to make peace with it".

Yeah I definitely know that, but this case is a bit different, cause ... I've made my piece with it long long time ago, and almost nothing surprises or tilts me for too long anymore, mostly I just started to laugh at it, but it just continues and continues to this completely ridiculous extent now, that it actually reached the level "of not fun anymore" AGAIN :f_eek: Not really sure how to explain it though, you've got to "live it", but anyway, thanks for nice words ! :)

Oh, and by the way

just kidding ofc

I like that kind of humor, no need to "confirm" that you're "kidding" in the future no more

I was asking myself the same things over and over. I studied a lot i thought i have an edge over the majority of field and i still was not able to beat that easy NL25 game. At NL50 i believe it is even harder.

But we will fight together until the last men stands!!! I am almost down :f_cool:

Same here ... Maybe it was just ME, who thought that I can beat those games easily ... Because the RESULTS just show completely otherwise ... Played my 1.000 hands yesterday as well, in NL25 + a little of NL10 [these stakes now unfortunately, cause I don't have the roll to be psychologically-comfortably at NL50 anymore ...], and guess what ? Overall lost 2BI at NL25, as well as almost 2BI at NL10 ... I WOULD STILL LIKE to think that I was just UNLUCKY, but ... I mean, for how long that "unlucky" thing can last ? ... Maybe it is not about luck after all .... Maybe I just really-REALLY SUCK at this game ... ?( I don't know ... I really don't know anymore :(

But still - thanks for support, man !

Tried to play some satellites today, and so far ... Everything as usual just goes horribly wrong ...

Like for ex. going all-in preflop with A:hJ:d vs fishes' Q:c2:c and A:d3:h, and board runs K:s8:h5:cJ:cQ:s, or 4bet shoving preflop with A:hQ:d vs very aggressive Villain, who snaps my push with A:s:3s and board runs K:s5:d7:c9:s7:s. And some other stuff.

So decided to quit satellites for now, gonna play just the "massive turbo" one in the evening, and that's it for today.

And as for zoom, gonna still try to put my volume in no matter what, if stop/loss let me of course ... I mean ... I don't know anymore what else to do.

Shit happens. :(

Yeeep, not my day today. At least not in tournaments. Out from the last "big turbo" satellite in 20 minutes - allin preflop with AK vs JTo and Q9s, board goes QxxxQ

So, just zoom left for today. I just hope I won't hit stop/loss ... :f_mad:

OK, so ... Did my volume target. Did NOT hit stop/loss. But ... results speak for themselves. Almost -2BI at NL25, and almost +1BI at NL10, leaving me total with still a nice LOSS, like -1.25BI calculating at NL25. And I won't even start to analyze again "what is happening ???" and all that stuff. NO MORE. From now on, just going into "auto-pilot" mode regarding my emotions. Just gonna try to do my VOLUME task till I'm broke or whatever. Don't know much else what to do. And here below is just a sneak peek on how I was running today at zoom as well. A little whining-out-loud regarding played hands still helps, though. So gonna continue that. But no more long speechs about "how life is not fair". Look for yourselves.

Hand no.1

BTN: $25 (100 bb)
SB: $18.46 (73.8 bb)
BB: $32.19 (128.8 bb)
Hero (UTG): $25 (100 bb)
MP: $25 (100 bb)
CO: $10.08 (40.3 bb) CO is a marked fish.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J:club: A:club:
Hero raises to $0.75, MP folds, CO calls $0.75, BTN folds, SB calls $0.65, BB folds

Flop: ($2.50) 3:club: J:diamond: 5:heart: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.30, CO calls $1.30, SB calls $1.30

Turn: ($6.40) K:heart: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $8.03, SB folds, Hero calls $8.03

At this point I'm checking to x/call, cause I don't think that I can get 3 streets of value, while as well he's a fish, so I expect him to bluff here much worse, BECAUSE he was quite aggro'ish. So I went with my initial plan.

River: ($22.46) 9:heart: (2 players)

Spoiler

Results:

Of course this turn REALLY helps him this time, and I'm just a sucker calling him off.

Hero showed J:club: A:club: and lost (-$10.08 net)
CO showed K:club: J:heart: and won $21.45 ($11.37 net)

Hand no.2

BTN: $8.13 (81.3 bb)
SB: $4.72 (47.2 bb)
Hero (BB): $10.87 (108.7 bb)
UTG: $10.15 (101.5 bb)
MP: $6.50 (65 bb)
CO: $15.81 (158.1 bb)

Both BTN and SB were fishes.

Preflop: Hero is BB with K:spade: K:diamond:
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.35, SB calls $0.30, Hero raises to $1.25, BTN calls $0.90, SB calls $0.90

Flop: ($3.75) Q:spade: T:heart: 8:heart: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.95, BTN calls $2.95, SB folds

Turn: ($9.65) T:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $6.25, BTN calls $3.93 and is all-in

Again, I expect the fish here OTT to have much worse, so I just value bet.

River: ($17.51) 7:heart: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Spoiler

Results:

But of course he has me beat on this turn. And I'm again the sucker who pays him off.

BTN showed T:diamond: 9:diamond: and won $16.72 ($8.59 net)
Hero showed K:spade: K:diamond: and lost (-$8.13 net)

Hand no.3

BTN: $154.07 (616.3 bb)
SB: $12.29 (49.2 bb)
BB: $30.08 (120.3 bb)
UTG: $13 (52 bb)
MP: $20.41 (81.6 bb)
Hero (CO): $25 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8:diamond: 5:diamond:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, 2 folds, BB calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.30) 4:spade: 6:heart: 6:diamond: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, BB calls $0.70

Turn: ($2.70) 7:diamond: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.40, BB raises to $3.75, Hero calls $2.35

At this point I expect him to have something like A6 or middle-overpairs, which doesn't know what to do IF he's a weak player [no sample unfortunately], or some complete random bluffs.

River: ($10.20) 2:spade: (2 players)
BB bets $25.03, Hero calls $19.95 and is all-in

And right now I'm thinking you either turned your hand into a complete bluff, or do you REALLY have a FULL-HOUSE vs me ?? ...

Spoiler

Results:

Of course he has a full house. And I'm the sucker who pays him off, right ? How else can it be.

BB showed 7:heart: 7:spade: and won $48.10 ($23.10 net)
Hero showed 8:diamond: 5:diamond: and lost (-$25 net)

Hand no.4

BTN: $44.68 (178.7 bb)
SB: $25 (100 bb)
BB: $74.68 (298.7 bb)
UTG: $24.54 (98.2 bb)
Hero (MP): $29.61 (118.4 bb)
CO: $59.62 (238.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A:club: A:diamond:
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.75, 3 folds, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($1.60) Q:diamond: 6:diamond: 6:spade: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.20, BB raises to $3.25, Hero calls $2.05

Right now I'm thinking its either Qx, or a FD. Don't wanna scare them away, so I call, hoping diamond will not show up.

Turn: ($8.10) 6:heart: (2 players)
BB bets $5, Hero calls $5

LOVING this turn. Leaning much more towards Qx now. So I just call expecting to stack off on river.

River: ($18.10) K:spade: (2 players)
BB bets $65.68 and is all-in, Hero calls $20.61 and is all-in

What else would you do here ? I'm actually loving his shove here, cause I'm pretty sure he has either Qx or better yet - KQ. So I happily just call, prepared to win the pot.

Spoiler

Results:

But of course he has QUAD SIXES, what else he could have had there ? And I'm the sucker to pay him off.

BB showed 8:club: 6:club: and won $57.32 ($27.71 net)
Hero showed A:club: A:diamond: and lost (-$29.61 net)

... and much much more similar hands like these.

Goodnight

P.S. Since [according to my friend ] I already post too much on my facebook ... Gonna start posting my "favourite" pics "for the day" as well as "favorite songs for the day" HERE .... Hope you don't mind.

WEEK 3 Review

Ok, so ... If we won't look at the results from the tables, then this third week should be nominated for the best week so far. Simply because of the number on daily tasks done. But that's just it. Just a "number". Cause I DO feel REALLY confused about my game at the tables, in terms of why am I not getting any positive results. But let's not get too much into this, cause the sample in absolute terms is still very small, so ... If I could someday reach at least 10k hands per week, then we should talk I guess.

Task Table

I guess the table speaks pretty much for itself. Made two very nice days considering all possible tasks done per day, but already had an update for each one of them earlier this week, so not much to add. Had some nice "perfect runs" - 7 to be exact, leaving just 5 "missed", which in percentage terms should be considered as a nice accomplishment. And finally managed to put in the required volume of hands for the four days per week as desired. But still there is a HUGE room for improvements.

And here is how my total weekly scores look so far.

So now just hoping to reach the score of 51 or better this fourth following week.

Playing

As mentioned many times before in past posts, the return from playing at the tables is not going so great. Also, had to step down to NL25 for quite a permanent amount of time I guess. Unless I can win 7BI's very fast, and KEEP it this way. But as my past suggests - this is not a very likely scenario to happen to me ;) So ... Most of my hands will be played at NL25 now, with an occasional mix of NL10. Therefore, the graphs are going to be displayed in BB's now.

So week 3 went like this. Total of 4.417 hands, -6.5BI [calculating as of NL25], -10.6bb/100, 28-21 with 10.2% 3bet total.

1. VOLUME is okay for now. Cause IT IS an improvement FOR ME after all. But still numbers are very low, considering it is per week, and considering that I play zoom. Need to work on that the most. But as I said - baby steps. All at it's time.

2. Kinda happy with my blue and red lines in general, because the switch in my game play that I made seems to be working - red line finally doesn't shoot for the skies anymore, and rather stays break-even'ish, which I think is a very good thing, and the blue line ... Well at first it was normally going up, but then made some bad plays, had a lot of bad luck, made bad plays + bad luck, so yeah ... The blue line is where it is supposed to be for this week, can't complain too much again here [cause I already did bunch of times throughout the week ], so now I just hope I can raise it up next week while keeping the red line break-even ;) That's it.

Conclusions&Expectations

So besides keeping my red and blue lines in right directions, as well as trying to reach or beat third week's score, I decided to "toughen-up" my TaskTable increasing the numbers on the desired "perfect runs" and volume.

So the bar is set quite high now for almost all of the daily tasks for the following week [increases marked in orange], let's just see how can I perform in the end, while also testing in general whether these numbers are achievable at all.

Maybe I will SUCK again. Maybe not ... Let's find out after a week.

And here's my song for the week
