For those who don't think the poker sites can be rigged, Ed Miller wrote recently an article on his blog about how to rig an online game and not get caught. I really don’t think he would ever wrote such an article if he didn’t know something.
I think i'll let go... lost 100$ in no time. With the bad beats i started playing bad... the worst part is bad beats happens to me just before the cash while i'm holding a healthy stack. i guess i'll just try my luck in another website, if i don't save my money then i'll save my heart from stopping!
I really enjoyed reading this post. As a member of the Ipoker Network, I must comment on some of the posts.
First: this is for you short stacks;
when there is a raise from a SS, I play a lot looser, for two reasons, a) I usually play tight and playing tight doesn't get many callers on pre-flop raises(chickens),
so pushing SS with hands like TT+ and AQ+ is a way for me to show others that I am a donk and willing to gamble with marginal hands, without investing too much, which in turn forces BSS to go all in with QQ or even JJ, on my re-raises. b) raising short stacks with marginal hands teaches us who plays quality hands and which ones think 88 is a good all in hand, again with little investment, paying for info is part of the game
Two:
I have played on just about every network there is, Ipoker, microgaming or any other network don't have a bad beat percentage, it's just the way it is, you'll get bad beats on any network at any time. Donks are on every network, so how can you say one is worse then others. As for Ipoker, you have tight players who are patient and understand the numbers, if you think you got donked, maybe you just got outplayed???? Possible?
Although, since Mansion hooked up, the play got a heck of a lot looser. That makes me extremely happy. In order to be successful at Hold'em, you need to master how to beat the loose aggressives and stay away from those all ins when there is 2 suited cards on flop unless you are prepared for a big loss. You know they will call any bet, remember, they don't understand position, let alone odds and probabilities.
Play looser against the tight aggressives, but don't get too fancy, they can be deceptive, don't compete for the same cards. Constantly keep your notes updated, what cards they raise with is important, they do try to deceive you, but you're smarter then that. They are fun to trap, but be careful, that all in button is only for the absolute nuts. Don't try to stack everyone off in one session, it'll backfire, patience man, patience.
Against tight players, overbetting the pot is as dumb a move you can make, if you have the nut, you want that tighty whity to give you money, not fold, overbetting on a bluff is even dumber, I sit and wait for days for moments like these, I have a list of opponents who have this bad habit and will slo play them(only against them) in hopes for one of those donk bets.
Third: yup, the tournies here suck big time, I stick to cash only, play the freerolls for free money, that's it
See you at the tables!!!!
I don't buy in much to this, sites are rigged rubbish. But I do believe there can be dodgyness on going in their software or the RNG.
I mean, ive played poker online for a very long time now, and in the last month since Mansion switched ive been playing at iPoker network obviously, and ive never ever seen so many evil cold deck match ups as i have in the last month.
AA vs KK does happen, we know this! But not several times in the same day most days! Thats just crazy. AA vs AK, AK vs AQ...ive even got the feeling now when i know exactly when this is happening. Which is obviously a good thing, but im now playing in fear of the site just raping me out..i folded AK pre-flop yesterday for the first time ever, because i just KNEW someone had me dominated...and sure enough, 2 guys flipped AA and KK, how the hell can you compete with that kind of stuff going on! It happens way way too often to be co-incidence, play real time games at home, in the casino wherever..and yes I know you don't get through as many hands per hour as online..but this kind of stuff just doesn't happen as often! You have to tailor you play, not only to crazy online players, but crazy online random number generators that at times can be a complete joke!

I completely agree here. Th AKs vs AA vs KK happens to me couple of times. And it's true that whenever you hold a big hand someone hold a bigger one or just a hand under like AK vs AQ or AA vs KK or QQ vs KK. When you're having a downswing you'll know it when... Just like magic You're dealt great hands AA, KK, QQ, AKs, JJ... in a weird frequence. And guess what your AA meet KK with Kxx(rainbow) on board. You're KK met AA or QQ OR JJ with Q or J ON board. You can also sit at a table for 3straight hours and it seem like you get outplayed all the time. your straight on flop run into flush on river. Your full run into higher full. flush against higher flush etc...
And the set up is so well done that you cannot avoid putting alot of money in the pot...
yeah... mansion is bad at the moment...
been happening a lot to me too...
till a few days ago, i still had profit overal playing....
but since last week-end....
omg what is happening???
bad beat after bad beat... monster raped by bigger monster AA-KK and the likes....
preflop all-in situations i go AA, get raised by 62o ... both all-in .... 6 and 2 fall on the deck... byebye AA
flop situations where I am as good as 90% favorite.... money goes in...all-in heads up...
then hold on to yourpants.... runner runner straights, backdoor flushes, whatever crazy stuff you can think of happens....
today... I have not won one hand with AA-KK-QQ ....
I allways encountered bigger pairs or lower pairs completing a set..
or lower connectors completing sets 2 pairs or straights....
every every time...
I know sometimes you get beaten,....
AA gets beaten....
but nearly every goddamned time???
I am gonna stay there till end of the month, get my point boost for reaching a new club lvl... exchange mcp for oney and the gtf off that site as fast as possible....
i never wanted to believe rigged sites.....
good streaks and bad ones come and go...
but this is exagerated.....this is too much
Bump!!!
Was the same thing for me. Just like u said it... bankroll went from 250$ to 50$ without me knowing how... I stopped 1week after heavy desperation. The second day of my come back I won 100BB on FL 0.25/0.50 and went to 6th place in a tournament for 120$. Since things went up again. the best thing to do is stop playing there when shht happens and come back 3days later to see if there is some changes. For that you need another site on the side: Mine is Pokerstars ![]()
Edit: But sometimes I ask myself, Is this Poker really?
Glad to see I am not the only one going through "variance". It's just too weird that I have been earning profit over 250 000 hands at Ipoker, then suddenly losing over 50 000 hands since mansion signed up. Coincidence? Probably. I'm told I am a bad a bad player and need to plug leaks. No doubt. I'm not perfect poker player, but losing money with KK, QQ and AKs is not explainable by anybody on this site as of yet. They tell me I have leaks, I have no doubt, I do, but playing aggressive with AKs, KK and QQ has destroyed my bankroll. No one has come up with an explainable answer. Short of telling me I am a donk.
