NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
SB ($16.07)
BB ($26.67)
UTG ($25)
UTG+1 ($25)
CO ($12.80)
Hero ($26.21)

Dealt to Hero 9♥ T♥

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.60, SB raises to $2, fold, Hero calls $1.40

FLOP ($4.25) 9♠ 7♠ 6♥

SB bets $3, Hero calls $3

TURN ($10.25) 9♠ 7♠ 6♥ Q♣

SB checks, Hero checks

RIVER ($10.25) 9♠ 7♠ 6♥ Q♣ 7♣

SB checks, Hero bets $3.40, SB raises to $11.07 (AI), Hero ???

Could I fold here? With SB I played only 12 hands, but he seems pretty taggy (18/8).

PREFLOP: Maybe some nits can fold, but I have good hand + position, so let's see a flop dealer.

FLOP. Top pair + gutshot, I am not folding for sure. Maybe I can raise, but I still want to keep him in the pot.

TURN: Q could help him, but his check is not looking very strong to me. But he only has around pot size stack left, so I decide to check.

RIVER: I am not really afraid of 7, because it's not very likely for him to have one. If he doesn't have a Q, I am probably ahead. I try to be tricky and I bet only 1/3 of pot. He raise AI and now what?

Hi,

I would just fold pre-flop. Those stats are not from a sample and thus you can't trust to them. He seems to have less than full-stack, so we can consider him being bad and thus 3-betting too tight.

As played, calling one barrel is fine. After he checks T and R I would just chback, you are already way ahead or way behind. No value to be gained IMO.

If you decide to bet small OTR you should be calling if villain raises, otherwise betting doesn't make much sence to me. The main reason I would consider betting small OTR is to induce.

I'd just be checking back river, but I don't really like calling when he jams. Even though his line doesn't make that much sense to checkraise the river, often I think we will see TT/JJ,Qx being jammed for value now that you checked back the Q and he is feeling pretty confident that his hand is good. Thats just my guess, based on making similar hero calls in these sorta spots.

I agree with most of you. I still wouldn't fold preflop, but checking back on river is best.

When I played that hand, I was sure that I have the best hand, so I called his jam and he showed AKo.
