partypoker - $0.50 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 100 BB (VPIP: 21.09, PFR: 18.01, 3Bet Preflop: 10.47, Hands: 428)
SB: 128.32 BB (VPIP: 19.17, PFR: 15.39, 3Bet Preflop: 7.00, Hands: 1,165)
Hero (BB): 224.44 BB
UTG: 101.58 BB (VPIP: 15.73, PFR: 12.36, 3Bet Preflop: 9.30, Hands: 92)
MP: 238.6 BB (VPIP: 22.39, PFR: 17.58, 3Bet Preflop: 8.01, Hands: 3,612)
CO: 208.54 BB (VPIP: 19.88, PFR: 13.04, 3Bet Preflop: 1.61, Hands: 165)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q♥ T♥

fold, MP raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6.5 BB, 2 players) 3♣ T♣ 6♦
Hero checks, MP bets 4.12 BB, Hero calls 4.12 BB

Turn: (14.74 BB, 2 players) Q♦
Hero checks, MP bets 9.34 BB, Hero raises to 31.52 BB, MP calls 22.18 BB

River: (77.78 BB, 2 players) 9♠
Hero bets 54 BB, MP calls 54 BB

Spoiler

Hero shows Q♥ T♥ (Two Pair, Queens and Tens) (Pre 30%, Flop 82%, Turn 93%)
MP mucks A♥ Q♣ (One Pair, Queens) (Pre 70%, Flop 18%, Turn 7%)
Hero wins 179.78 BB

Is it fishy to call it from bb? I call vs MP from BB 22-JJ, 78s-KQs, AQs, AJs. Is it ok?

Is river bet/fold right? I expect him to 3bet strong hands on 2 flush draws and oesd, but he can have KJ

Hi GingerKid

This should depend a lot on:

A) what range he opens
B) what you know about him (and you have plenty of info).

I can see it being fine unless he is a complete nit.

I see no reason to put villain on a bluff if he ever raised river.

I am glad Gingerkid asked this, I find myself questioning a lot my PF in these positions.

a) Let's say the MP opens 19%, cbets a lot flop and turn. Which range would you defend here BBvsMP knowing we have a good image and he's WTSD is something like 23-27.

b) Looking at the same scenario but this time he cbets a lot flop but not as much turn.

This will help us get a perspective how to adjuste, in NL25 this is pretty much the scenario.

Eskavus these are really broad questions and little info.

For example WTSD of 23 is actually quite different from 27 %.

Anyway, vs a guy that opens wider and cbets a lot we can definitely defend these type of hands (we can also look at how he reacts to 3-bets).

And I'm really not sure what you mean by a "good image". Is that an image of aggro? Not spewy? Tighter?

In scenario B you have a guy that will generally let you see rivers very cheaply. What does that mean for your overall range?

He is the most uncofortable reg in nl50 that i played vs.

He defends a bit wider but not too bad. Or mp 16%
Ft3b 56%, fold vs raise around 50 flop and turn, doesnt bet wide nor tight.

Ok, so that could be a problem.

If we play vs a decent reg (one of the better ones that you are facing) and you are OOP, with no initiative and a wide range, who do you think will come out on top?

It will be hard for us to be the ones coming out on top.

I am sorry, I'll try to be more specific I meant an oponent with low WTSD maybe something like 23-25, and hero has solid image (no big bluffs have been seen on showdown). This gives us some manovre to make moves after the flop like raise cbet or float to maybe overbet some rivers.

I would like to know if the OR opens like 19% MP (F3bet% ~50) , what range the hero should be defending from BB and what range we should definatly be flating SB if we have a decent fish in the BB.
