Shitty month so far.

Volume is outstanding, game okish, run not so good. Started by playing better than ever, self confidence was out of the roof (guess that's a phrase, not sure though :f_biggrin: ) and motivation was great (surprisingly it still is pretty daaarn high!). Now the quality of my game has gone a bit down. And not gonna play nl100 for a while, though didn't lose there at all, BEish. Hopefully next month I'll have a decent roll to try out nl100 a bit more.

1. Villain 33/12 weakish 70 hands.

Didn't know what to do OTT, knew I had almost 40% equity and doubted that villain would bluff that often on the river. But didn't believe that he would ck/cl any weak flushes if a heart came, if the board paired I'm pretty confident that this fishy villain would've gone broke pretty nicely.

I think (and math confirmed) that going broke the turn is a huge mistake. For calling the turn and folding to a bet if we don't get there EV is over +10 and going broke on the turn is -EV. Put him only on flushes, though he might have like A2s, but doubt that big time. (Gave him 12 combinations, Q:h-8:h, then some suited connectors, believe he raises his sets mainly on the flop, but including some sets doesn't change the math too much since would give him a like max 1 combination of 55. Took "some" shortcuts on the math so might be a little bit off...) :f_biggrin:

2. Can't remember when last time felt so shitty hitting a set. :f_biggrin:
Like a lot the way I played this one since the history with him. Shittiest river card EVAH!

1. Shitty bluff by me.

BB 28/24/13 f2cb f 45 | agg% f 54 t 46 r 36 | WTSD 24

Don't like it at all, once again. :f_biggrin: I basically represent here like 22/JJ/QJ/QQ/AQ/KQ, but would I raise them here on the turn all the time... Hmm... I'm pretty sure that I would raise 22 all the time, JJ most of the time. But KQ/AQ I might just float here since I don't think that there would be too many Qx:s in his range if we actually blocked one Q, so I would weigh his range to T9/KT/X:cX:c/random bluffs here and let him bluff the river. Raising the turn also leaves us not so great spr for the river imo. And if we float the turn we can move on the river. As played the turn river is a clear checkback.

Hmm... I'm totally confused here... :f_confused: :f_biggrin: But came to conclusion that this was a bad play. :f_cool:

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K T
Hero raises to $1, SB folds, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.55) 2 J Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.55) Q (2 players)
BB bets $3.97, Hero raises to $13.50, BB calls $9.53

River: ($32.55) T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $37.13

2. BTN 24/19/6,1 | cb f 67 | agg% f 40, t 32, r 30 | WTSD 25
CO fish 60/13 hands 40

Another bluff. The problem here is imo that even though I would check again sets on the turn to that turn card, there are so many draws in my range here that I might play similiarly, and no two pair hands (well KJs maybe but only 2combos). And especially on the river I think my FE isn't that big since he would bet on the flop his draws. Doubt that he would call turned oesd here? Is the river just a bad spew or are we getting him to fold enough?

BTN: $50 (100 bb)
Hero (SB): $61.50 (123 bb)
BB: $45.24 (90.5 bb)
UTG: $50.50 (101 bb)
MP: $50 (100 bb)
CO: $78.73 (157.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 9
2 folds, CO calls $0.50, BTN raises to $2, Hero calls $1.75, 2 folds

Flop: ($5) J 5 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($5) K (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $3.50, Hero raises to $12.50, BTN calls $9

River: ($30) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $47 and is all-in

Pretty confused with both hands so gonna post them to hand evaluation.

And a hand I played sometime ago:

UTG 20/17/7,1 raise EP 12 | cbet 57, fold vs raise 42 | agg% f 41, t 25, r 26 | WTSD 27
BB 24/20/10,6 raise vs cb OOP 18(11) | agg% f 61, t 47, r 22 | WTSD 30

Thought that I had only invested so little to the pot and villains played it so strongly that my bottom set is not good here. BB might have easily some bluffs in his range here, but the float by UTG was the thing that made me to fold.. UTG might have like TJs that he calls but for draws that's it. Good fold or übernit?

BB: $50 (100 bb)
UTG: $53.57 (107.1 bb)
MP: $19.25 (38.5 bb)
CO: $69.47 (138.9 bb)
Hero (BTN): $50 (100 bb)
SB: $112.25 (224.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 8 8
UTG raises to $1.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.50, SB folds, BB calls $1

Flop: ($4.75) 9 K 8 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $3.10, Hero calls $3.10, BB raises to $10.25, UTG calls $7.15, Hero folds

Turn: ($28.35) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $16, BB folds

GL! I surprisingly won couple of monies today. :f_eek:

Shitty thing from IRL: Made a promise to friends that would go 7AM to school to play badminton with them, and I'm in no way a morning person. Its an accomplishment for me to get up from the bed at 10am. FML. Thought tells something about my life if this is the biggest problem at the moment. :f_biggrin:

Poker is soooo great, after running greatly last month (8bin over EV) now it is time to face the reality. I wish variance wouldn't exist... Though I guess most of the fishes wouldn't keep playing if they'd lose money steadily, but yeeeeeeeeah.

Yeah, I did it, I cried a river... 100VPPs for this month and I'll be platinumstar next month also, now gonna reduce the amount from poker and try to read to exams...

Fish out.

e. Forgot to mention, but ds affects my game A LOT. Way too much to be honest. I bet that this wouldve been easily +2k month if I ran according to EV and didn't do anything stupid on the tables... Well fuck, actually this should've been nicely winning month IF I just could keep my head together. No excuses there, the - marked winnings collum is no reason of "running shitly" only reason is that I played way too badly almost for the whole month. Jumavitunlauta.

What a day! So proud of myself atm! I feel soooooo good now! Gonna reward myself with couple of beers!

GL guys!

e. probably volumewise the best day ever for me. ~4k hands (~600 hands played last night, those up 120usd). I have over 18kVPPs so nice chance to grind supernova this year. :)

Shiiiiiiit. 3 months without updates. Finished my first year at uni, which could've gone better. Next year less drinking and more studying. :f_thumbsup:

Took some coaching from weazel, highly recommend to all who are struggling at nl50 and lower, I guess would be also great deal for nl100 players. He noticed many leaks in my game and I have to say that I've improved a lot past couple of months. Although I haven't played too much and I've run pretty badly, but still extremely delighted how much that coaching already has affected my game. Had also troubles with non-showdown winnings, but after weazels coaching sessions I've been able to keep them at least breakevenish. After the last update I'm up like 1.8k$ and played 120k hands, so not too good.

Now goals for the summer(1.6-31.8):
:club: 175k hands (15/175)
:club: Beat nl50
:club: Make some monies
:club: Marathon

Gonna post some day soon some nicely and not so nicely played hands.
