ok... I am in the process of revising everything i have done.

In order to make poker more interesting with only 1 table, i've started playing HU, i dabbled in a bit of HU a month ago and learned the basics and a little on reads. I am going to pretty much take everything people said in this thread and try to improve it, but in a way that will keep poker interesting for me.

I know almost nothing about HU other than what i learned from watching skribbles play, he taught me a little bit, but im basically winging it, trying to base my game purely off reads in order to improve my reads.

I realise i have no where near the bankroll to play HU, but with $15 left, i figured i didnt have the bankroll for anything, so it didnt matter so much if i broke BRM, since i would be breaking BRM regardless of what i played.

that being said, once i have the BR for any limit of HU i will start playing on that limit.
but for now, NL10 seems good enough for me.

i dont expect this upswing to continue for long. All i can do is play my best and hope my reads are solid enough to get me out of trouble.

Seriously, get a job, do not play poker. You can never make it. I.E (You might as well transfer all your funds to my account) Then look at the job advertisment section for a JOB!!!

Look becoming a winning player takes a long time.

I am roughly break even now.. after a year.... I think thats good progress already (just play 4k hands, loss: .72 cents). Another year or so and I might actually be winning since I got a long way to go and around 2 big leaks (which I know off) I am trying to correct and some other minor ones.
Every leak costs me money the first time or second time I see it, and not just little.. but an entire Buy-in. I am break even since these leaks go around errors which have little chance of happening... but well in 4k hands they happen 4-5 times or so.. hence I can't win as of now.

If you loose 800$ you have massive leaks which you either don't know off or don't want to know off.

What you see on TV... all those poker pros... do not play like they do. They only play that way since they know who they are up against. Your up against random, no reads no nothing... stick to strategy.

I actually find some of their plays pathetic to be honest. I watched a high stakes table... 100k gone in 2 hands just because he thinks he can push.
Or hellmuth... oh man. The beats he gets are just hillarious some times.

If you loose 800$ something is seriously wrong. You have major leaks and you should never be multitabling. In fact, why are you playing SnG??? Those things are hard and take time.

Just play some SSS or something to get you bankroll going again.

Oh and about the multitabling part... stop. I am multitabling 4 tables of BSS SH games right now..... and I still make errors. A while ago I folded QK on a board with K on it and other folds because I time out. It doesn't happen a lot but still.
If I can't manage 4 tables properly... after a year of playing (half a year online), breaking even, unlike you who is down 800$... how the hell can you handle 16 tables?????

You need an entire different approach to poker.
Admit to yourself that your a bad player, start learning from there.

back to the origional post,

playing NL50 with $300 to $400 strikes concern, very under BR'd

$400 / 50 = 8 buy ins! the fact you seem to lose alot of money at this limit,
may suggest somewhere in your subconious your playing scared?
it may not feel like it but i know with 8-buy-ins until bust its hard to play
an aggressive A game.

what is your BRM out of curiosity?
