Under the category threads such as Hand Evaluations, I'm not finding a button to create a post with a normal envelope. Only a button to create a thread with an envelope that has a black dot on it. What am I missing?

It should take you to the Hand Evaluation board for up to NL10
In the upper right-hand side do you see a button that says, "New Thread"?
If you click on it, does it open a window to create the first post in a new thread?
If not, what *does* happen?

That's exactly what happens. I was just wondering why my post icon has a black dot on it but nobody else's does. If the post having an envelope w/dot is ok with the site, then it's ok with me. 
Hmmmm.....
As long as it works, let's not worry about it.
If it stops working, I suggest creating a customer support ticket (go to bottom of that page) and give them all the details you can.
