This seems like a pretty easy fold preflop, or a cold 4bet bluff if you think FE is good.

I don't like the Preflop play too. You have to either fold or bluff 4bet. I do not want to call in a sandwich and the initial raiser still to act.
As I see that the 3 bet is on the larger side, I prefer folding in this case.

CO's stack (less than 100 BB) doesn't seem him to be a good REG :) But AJs is just too weak to be cold calling preflop. I don't think is a place for bluff cold 4bet without serious reads, and for me it is just an easy fold.

Why is it too weak to cold call? Have you calculated all possible scenarios and ended up finding out that you are more often losing your 9bb's risked pre than winning more. I guess not.

Best preflop action depends on:
A) How wide you expect CO to be 3betting
B) How often you expect the MP to 4bet bluff if you cold call
C) How often you think the blinds get agro if you cold call
D) How well you think you can play postflop if you cold call
E) How much value you think you can get from MP & CO if they call and you hit a good hand postflop
F) How often you think you get folds if you turn this into 4bet bluff
----------------------
Things are definitely not black and white. I would say if you can play better postflop than your opponents and expect the CO to be 3betting even something like this (JJ+, AJs+, A5s-A2s, KQs, AJo+, KQo), you have +EV cold call or +EV cold 4bet).
----------------------

As played I would probably shove turn - you should not have a lot bluffs there, and you can rep TT, 88, AA, KK, QQ. River I guess you put him on some AQ, AK, and try to bluff them - not sure if he is a fish (?) You run quite often into QQ+ he played in a scared money way. Probably still OK bluff I guess....

I believe that cold call IP is probably not terrible, but I would prefer 4bet bluffing. On the flop, against JJ+ we have 45% of equity. Given the fact that he can have some worse hands than JJ+, we probably have around 50% of equity or more, so I wouldn't turn this hand into a bluff, but it's certainly +EV. When he checks the turn, I think that we can bluff there. As played, I don't mind bluffing the river. He will fols AQ and AK and maybe some random middle-small pocket pairs if he has those.

The problem is that with our preflop playand our turn xb we do not represent much.

My river bet was awful as i see now i dont represent much, i think i should either shove on flop or on turn. As for preflop I dont think its to bad to play IP with this hand.

As for the player that raised was pretty tight so I also took that into consideration.

Thanks for all the help

Yep, it depends on reads and game flow as always - but none of these are there. So ofc we won't be able to find the answer that is 100% correct. But against unknown players in 3bet pot... The problem is that AJ will have reverse implied odds in these kind of spots.

+1.

As played, you could either shove the flop (for a flip) or check back the river. No worse hands will call your river bet and definitely no ace-highs.

I don't think the villain will fold unless an ace comes on the later streets. From his point of view, the hero could have QQ or JJ
