Was it the right desission to just call,or was it a All-In situation.
Do's SB have, trips, 2-pair, lower stright, or Full House.
And does it matter in this situation.
I am min stack, SB is 1/2 stack.partypoker - $0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players

CO: 214.25 BB (VPIP: 26.76, PFR: 22.54, 3Bet Preflop: 10.53, Hands: 73)
BTN: 218.75 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 8♣ 7♥

Note: first hand in game, no stats on SB

fold, fold, fold, SB calls 0.5 BB, Hero checks

Flop: (2 BB, 2 players) 4♠ 4♥ 3♦
SB checks, Hero bets 1.5 BB, SB calls 1.5 BB

Turn: (5 BB, 2 players) 6♣
SB checks, Hero checks

River: (5 BB, 2 players) 5♥

Note: Was it the right desission to just call,or was it a All-In situation.

SB bets 5 BB, Hero calls 5 BB,

What format is this? Cash, super-turbo SNG or ??

Pocket 3s, 5s, or 6s, have you beat -- oh, pocket 4s too.
Ten combos in the entire deck beat you.
Lots of high pocket pairs would call a raise.

I don't see anything wrong with shoving, or making a bluff-inducing small raise.

I'm curious to see what others think once we know just what format this is.

Yes -- wise advice -- you have no information to use to put players on ranges.

I didn't think 87o was part of MSS pre-flop range -- maybe best to fold it pre.

Why would you fold this preflop given that there is no raise? He can see flop for free, so he can check and try to hit a monster on flop. Folding pre would definitely be -EV.

SB completes and you cannot fold. Check and see the free flop.

i would raise 2x pot in such situations and in this case since pot is so small i would raise 3-4 or 5 x pot. We have nut straight draw, a straight draw can call, and 3of a kind can call and overpair can call.. he might be a fish as he limped.
We will fold to a reraise shove or a big reraise since he can have full house.

I think that "just ship it" is the best play. Not on the Turn with the draw, but on the river with the nut straight.
I realy dont think SB have hit Full House or pocket 4s more often then 2-pair,trips or low end stright.
I am indeed to " chicken scared" here!

If you need the stone cold nuts to get it in 30 bb deep, then you will never ever win a big pot. Well, maybe once per week at the micros.
