Hi!

The bubble is gone, we are ITM with TT.

How would you play it, how would you maximize value of your set on flop -> was slowplay incorrect here?

Personally i like to bet out if I have raised pre flop then made a set.
I think check calling looks too strong.
It does depend on the board and the stage of the tourny etc but also when the showdown comes it also adds wait to your c-bets when you have missed.
Of course if villain has missed completely you only end up taking a smallish pot, but better that than getting outdrawn by someone with a possible straight, etc.

i like to bet our with the same reasons.
Any King, Ten and QJ, and so on, QQ, JJ will call your continuation bet.
Any crap would have probably bet IP if you check.... but thats not as bad as giving a freecard to a QJ, AJ, and so on.

I would bet out 1/2 potsize and if i get raised... well just call and donk turn or river...

if he just calls, then check the turn if a blank hits, but bet it out if a scare card comes, like A Q J.

If a blank hits and you check, it looks pretty much like you take a shot with your conti bet and then give it up on the turn.
he will often bet a pair like JJ or QQ even 99 AT, Kx, where he would have folded to a second bigger bet on the turn.

i would just continue betting this hand.

I agree with this. Our situation changes if we have top set, where realistically very few hands can call our bet. So with top set I like a check/call flop check/shove turn shove river line, but with middle set I like grummeler's line. And bet big on the river if he checks the turn.
