2nd pair OOP vs fishy, 3bet pot

It's a similar spot like JJ hand with Kxx 2-suited board. This time the BTN looks tighter, so I think that Ax is a big part of his defending range. So, maybe check/folding would be the best. Probably bet/folding or check/calling the flop and giving up the turn/river is fine, too.

I'm check/calling by default here, but vs such a weak-tight player I think it's a very easy check/call or check/fold. From the sounds of it you wanted to make a protection bet on the flop, but our opponent honestly doesn't have enough draws in his range + his folding range doesn't have tons of equity against our hand. On top of that we block some additional flush draws, so it's not even possible for our opponent to be holding KJs or QJs with a flush draw. It's likely our opponent is NOT calling 3-bets wider than this, therefore if we bet here we're only actually protecting ourselves against 3 combinations of KQs with no flush draw. KhQh is going to call 1 bet at the least, so betting the flop does not protect us from that hand, nor does it extract value (we are a slight dog).

I would not put KQo in our opponent's range. Yes, it appears our opponent is calling a decent amount of 3-bets, but he is also opening a tight range to begin with. At any rate, his range is simply too ace-heavy to be betting for protection even if our opponent did have more draws.

We don't have to worry about getting bluffed a lot vs this player, either. If he doesn't have an ace, it's very likely he'll be checking it back. An argument for check/folding the flop straight up isn't odd. If we want to be betting here, we can put aces & flush draws in our range. It's usually a stronger play to check/call hands like this, or exploitively check/fold.

I x/f here. There's not too many draws possible and I don't think he's calling much worse.

Vs this tight fish ( he might not be a fish), I would x/c flop w JJ with hearts, and betting or x/f JJ without of hearts , probably folding more than betting.
