Now, give some thought process.
WHy do you bet that big on flop for example?

I think this hand is pretty standard except the flop bet size. In 3bet pots standard size would be 1/2 pot.

To get it all in on the river, betting flop 1,4$, turn 3$ into 4,85$, river 6,1$ into 10,85$..

Seems like a bet on the turn would just fold out worse hands and allow you to get bluff raised as it's pretty polarizing double barrelling. After the board pairs if you check it a pair tens or jacks might think they're good and you could get a bit more value from them on the river. That being said checking the turn puts you in a tough spot if they bet into you.

I personally think if it goes bet call all three streets you're probably not getting it in good most of the time.

I'm curious to see what others might do in this spot.

Me, personally ,would bet 1/2 on flop to let all under pairs call.
With 1/2 bets you will get AI by the river too.

Good spot to pot-control imo. Would check the turn and re-evaluate based on his betsizing. I probably call another 1/2 ps bet and then x/f the river vs masses of Qx. As played you are folding out hands such as T9s, or JTs which would have bluffed if checked to.

Online poker has unfortunately moved past the days of shoving overpairs / TPTK on flops or QQ+, AK preflop indiscriminately. I miss those days sometimes.

If your standard game plan with AA in a 3bet pot is to get all in for a full 100BB stack most often, you are probably overplaying your aces and should re-evaluate. Looking to get unimproved aces all in postflop should only be done on specific board textures or vs specific villains. Fact is TJ is no longer calling you three streets (or shoving the flop) on a J 8 3 rainbow board, like they might have done in 2008.

The postflop value all-in range has narrowed and two pairs is mostly the bottom of it.

Bet 1/2 pot on the flop and fold to raise on the turn seems like a pretty standard plan.

This flop is very dry. No draws or nothing. I would not c bet this hand and let villain bluff you or value bet himself with Qx.

Also check is not bad because there is no bad cards for you to come on the turn.

Also if you check and villain checks back you can still get 2 streets of value (bet turn and river) from something like JJ/AQ because your hand looks weaker. I don't think that you can get 3 streets of value from JJ here with bet/bet/bet line so its ok to go for value on the turn and river -> same ev.

Also this will balance your check back range.

I will cbet for example QK- we dont want villain to hit free A on turn and outdraw us. Also I will cbet AK AJ that misses the flop so we can take the pot down on the flop and collect dead money.

Against calling station fish this AA is bet/bet/bet for me but I assume that villain is a reg in this hand that bertosi posted. So I check AA

I am sorry. I meant that you can get the same amount of value. I mean that if you cbet you wil get max 2 streets fom 99-JJ, because I dont think that they are calling 3 streets here.

If you don't cbet you will also get the same 2 streets of value from 99-JJ. And by not cbetting villain can bluff and we get value from his bluffs. if we cbet villain can not bluff.

I know what you mean but still insist that it is better to bet cause high cards on later streets can kill the action and you won't get your 2 streets. ..

If you plan to take two streets of value you take them on the flop and turn.

Checking the flop and trying to value the turn and river with an overpair is choosing to maximise the chance you are valuetowning yourself.

A good and simple two street line is just bet, bet, check(call or fold). Against the right villains who like to float very often, bet, check, check-call is also a simple two-street value line.

Hmmh okay. What hands do you check back here without being exploited?

If you are going to check back hands like KQ,JJ I'm happy to bet turn and overbet a ton of rivers and make you always fold. :f_thumbsup:

Totally agree. Great perception.
Years ago I remenber people going broke way more easily posflop.
