I agree with nitrol otherwise what's the point to post this hand :P. As you played push OTF. There are plenty of cards you dont wanna see OTT A,K,J,T,9, any spade. You have strong hand but very vulnerable

I can get away from this hand OTF :) We are either way ahead or way behind. No draws are raising here.

first things first, let's get this out of the way: he reps VERY VERY narrow. there's no KK in his range and you have a Q, and at higher limits you can expect to not see AQ as well (goes into 3bet range).

but when playing against regs at microlimits, i feel that the most profitable folds often come down to "does he actually have a bluff range in this spot"... i think they don't. so it's KQ most likely.
so against reg i can find a fold, but if i feel the guy is fishy i'm never folding. the fish actually has more Qx in his value range, but that's outdone by the much higher amounts of random spaz.

Why do you rule out KK?
You have some stats or additional info on villain?

Flush came, there are better Qx possible, at least river is a fold.

The flush is a very little concern. The big concern is that a guy with a 300+ bb stack check-raises flop, pots turn and river. I guess that Q6 is quite close to the bottom of your range (on all streets). Even without the somewhat unreliable stack-size read, it is a fold, at least OTR.

The river is a fold unfortunately. There are just no bluffs in Villain's range with the exception of like AsJs.

Unless you think for some reason that Villain is fishy enough to do this "for value" with like AK

I can see many better Qx in villains range. I would fold at least OTR.

I think few players wuld raise KQ on flop, his sizing made me call, it looks like he want me to fold :)

Nice blog btw :f_thumbsup:

"once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth".
whether you call or fold, just stay coherent with your range assumptions, and if they don't match with the actual hand result then try to see where you went wrong.

the way i see it is: he flops Qx. he check/raises for value because you won't fold Kx and there are a ton of broadway draws (= you have a large calling range).
turn sizing is to set a < potsize shove on the river because he wants your entire stack. river all-in.
now well, could he have bluffs? you could have some KQ KK QQ yourself for all he knows. it's not a good bluffing spot.

i mean, i say that because i would actually play KQ the same way (with that reasoning) so i don't think its extraordinary that villain has a value hand here. i specially like the sizings, a lot of micro players are too much caught up on that trapping bs of betting half pot or something when villains just don't like folding.

It was button raise, so he may call wider from SB, i have no stats on him so not sure how wide. On KQQ flop, when he raises, i put him on Kx maybe, spade draw, straight draw, some retarded played AA KK, or better Qx, but hands that beate me are smaller part of his raising range there, especialy when we have Q, thats why i call flop.

J of hearth did not change a lot, only AT od spade got there, i am calling becouse i think we are still ahead most of time there, with plan on evaluating river, probobly folding if spade hits, Ace or Ten.

5h loked like prety safe card on river, and his betting size looked like it was KQ or bluff, i thout he might have more bluffs there, so i called.

it's almost definitely not Kx unless he's fishy. could be a random draw, could be random Qx, yeah.
we shouldn't assume that he has no bluffing range on the flop, for sure. but he won't bluff turn and river with every single hand he bluffed the flop (while he will bet turn and river with hands he value raised on the flop, barring some specific runouts), so his bluffing frequency on the turn will be low, and on the river it might even be zero.

so well, i think folding turn is very reasonable, though i probably also end up calling and folding river.
if he's fishy then he's much more likely to randomly x/r bet bet spaz, so i calldown.
