PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 100.24 BB (VPIP: 20.21, PFR: 15.04, 3Bet Preflop: 4.64, Hands: 900)
BTN: 100 BB (VPIP: 25.11, PFR: 19.48, 3Bet Preflop: 5.81, Hands: 236)
SB: 86.4 BB (VPIP: 53.57, PFR: 3.57, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 29)
Hero (BB): 103.12 BB
UTG: 107.32 BB (VPIP: 19.87, PFR: 16.25, 3Bet Preflop: 7.41, Hands: 2,864)
MP: 107.08 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 3♦ K♦

fold, fold, CO raises to 2.48 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 1.48 BB

Flop: (5.36 BB, 2 players) 2♦ T♦ 5♥
Hero checks, CO bets 3.2 BB, Hero raises to 11 BB, CO calls 7.8 BB

Turn: (27.36 BB, 2 players) 4♥
Hero bets 20 BB, CO raises to 86.76 BB and is all-in, fold

CO wins 64.32 BB

I need 27.6% preflop

guy raises 31%

Say I use the power equilab defaults for R, and put them all higher like this:

I should be folding K3s - these hands meet the minimum equity requirement with the R handicap

i.e. K5s+

=>PF Is too loose even when he raises more than I'd consider standard.

Flop
Meh, I think this is a clear flat actually with the overcard + straight backdoor where I can raise some good turns

It might be best to just flat everything on the flop when I call this wide pre with the shitloads of my weak Tx etc. It'll be hard to have a reasonable raising range here so it's just better to flat everything and then check raise a good amount of turn/bluff rivers when it goes bet check as I don't have many hands that can value CR but I do have a lot of Tx that can Vbet the river

Now I have to fold with huge equity because I have 29-30% equity with 33% needed vs a postflop nit this is just so painful :]

I'm folding preflop. As played on the turn bet pot and call the raise. Vs. set we have 30 %. It will suck if he has hand like 4♦5♦ though.

I would fold preflop. I also started to create too wide cold calling ranges at some point, believeing that we have enough equity to call wide, given pot odds (I even included 75% or realization etc.). But then, during one coaching, w34z3l explained that what really matters is hand's playability postflop, so we are probably sometimes falling into trap of equity, but with some hands we probably won't realize much of it (my 75% is probably too optimistic).

As played, I think it's not terrible to check/raise the flop, since we will sometimes check/raise sets on that board. But, it's probably better to check/call. As played, I would also bet/fold this turn.

Maybe Lemon is on another level and as I see from his posts, he is balancing well and defending is his own decision.
I think that every player can create wide calling ranges, but you have to do this only if you are absolutely sure about your postflop game. If you have an edge over the field and can outplay them postflop you can call wide.
I still think that Kx,Qx FDs are a call on flop.
If we are going to play vs a strong range, why don't we just x/call the turn?

If we check/call the flop, I would check/call the turn, also. As hero played, I think we can get some fold equity with betting the turn + we have nice outs if he calls. I don't think we will have implied odds to check/call in this situation because I don't expect worse hands to call or bet the river in case we hit a flush/straight.

I do not see a reason to fold our equity.

I would gambul and call the turn shove. We are getting 2:1 so we need only 33% equity. My instinct was telling me that a call is correct even before entering the ranges in equilab - but I thouht I might be crazy so i checked anyway hehe.

Against TT+,55,22,ATs,KTs,QTs,JTs,54s,ATo,KTo,QTo,JTo: we have 36.25 %
Against TT+,55,22,ATs,54s,ATo we have 34.90

If we add some flush draws and combo draws, our equity skyrockets.

preflop its complicated :) Having K3s in our 3betting range is also a viable option - especially vs a wideish 30% RFI.

+1 i'm using K8-k5s but against a looser opener then all suited kings we aren't calling is viable

The decision should be based on bet size also. The bigger the bet size - the tighter the defending range should be.

How do you adjust equity realization in power-equilab?
I see the program what it shows but I don't know how to create my ranges based on that.

I would deff not X-R that flop w this hand.
Having for value only sets and MAYBE sometimes AT may make us to have to manny blufs , (lower FD"s hands w BDFD,gutters, 3rd pair hands etc.)
