What I want to tell you is that there will be situations where you will have to fold because villain has shown he beats you. By folding there you can be happy that you cut his winnings, that you saved your money and mostly that you played correctly.
From your words it appears that we should continue betting and thus losing money when we know that we are beat... not good, right?

When crazy guys check after showing aggression they dont check to just fold. And betting 1/4 is the exact trigger that would make them go crazy.
