The ahk scripts I use (or have tried):
- Bet Pot - dunno what I'd do without this one.
- Stars Planner - I use it for auto-clicking on confirmations, but that's about it. I don't have it order or resize my tables for me. I save my layout settings with the Stars client and that works perfectly for me. Also don't need it for the "keep lobby" feature, since I made changes in my Stars config to do that anyway. So for the most part this is a big script just to auto click on confirmations for me. Stars is working on making most confirmations like "don't show me this again" so.. soon I won't even need it for this feature.
I do sometimes use it to sit in, or out on all tables at once, or to check/uncheck auto-post on all tables at once. But, that's pretty rare. - Stars Auto Reloader - a great script to auto-reload for you when you fall below a specific amount (like 15BB or whatever) and will reload you to what you want (20BB, for example). The way I use this script is not how it was initially designed since it was intended to reload to full stacks. I've made changes to it to make it work for SSS, but.. this script will be obsolete in a few weeks, when stars releases the Auto-reloading changes to everyone. ♦
EDIT: As of 17 Oct 2008, there is no need for the "Stars Auto Reloader" script as PokerStars has added this functionality to their client. It was a great script and served us well for a long time. It will be missed. <sniffle>
- Stars Urgent Table I keep trying to like, but almost never use it. I don't much care for the obnoxious red border, and also due to my layout, there are many times when it will have issues with the table, that will get "stuck" and I can't click on the table or anything. Very annoying. When I have some time, I hope to dig through this script and see if I can fix the issues I have with it.
- Bet Timer for Stars - self explanatory.
- Stars Buddy List - Helps me keep track of the little fishies that bleed money to me. Also use it with a different list during the BOTD to help me keep track of the ranking list, so I can see who's still in the tourney or not, quickly.
- The Opener - Wow, almost forgot about this one, and I use it every day. ROFL. Great script - very handy.

This is a new feature Stars is rolling out. They just rolled it out to a select few people for testing during the WCOOP, but it should be released to everyone sometime in October.

2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 folds, MP3 raises to $1.00, 3 folds, Hero raises to $2.25, MP1 folds, MP3 calls $1.25.
Flop: ($4.85) J♠, 5♣, T♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $2.80 (All-In), MP3 calls $2.80.
Final Pot: $10.45
Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a pair of tens (Ks As)
MP3 shows two pairs, jacks and tens (Ad Jh)
MP3 wins with two pairs, jacks and tens (Ad Jh)
In the above hand I did not play it correctly. I should have pushed all in preflop in this hand. I have my reservations about pushing the flop with AK after missing it completely. I will now have a closer look at this hand imagining that I have different opponents. It is quite difficult to profile opponents and you have to make quite a few assumptions to keep it relatively simple. Furthermore, I do not have a lot of experience in doing this, so any constructive comments are welcome. Here goes…
Opponent 1: Sharky is a reasonable BSS player.
He has the following stats:
VPIP 15 {55+, A5s+, K9s+, QJs, A9o+, KJo+}
PFR 8 {77+, ATs+, KQs, AJo+}
He would call a raise with hands he himself would raise with. He always calls a re-raise from a SSS player. He plays only TPTK and better on the flop and would only call a push from a SSS with a draw of 8 outs and better.
Opponent 2: TwoOutaRiva8r is boozy weekend player eating SSS-ers for breakfast with his luckbox poker. He normally donates the undeserved moniez to Sharky in the next hand he plays.
He has the following stats:
VPIP 40
PFR 20
He is the type that can’t put an ace down and will go to war with any pair. He is very quick (on calling) the draw, and loves them ZOOOTED ones. He will only fold if he did not pair at least one card and there is no mention of ace in the pocket. He does not respect SSS-ers pushing on the flop with less than ¾ pot size. Thus fold equity is virtually zero.
In all cases I assume that their ranges are the same regardless the position they are sitting on the table. And we will leave the blinds out for simplicity of the calculations.
Consider the hand above:
Let us take the situation from the flop, after I raised preflop by $2.25 and was called by Sharky.
We know that his range is given by {77+, ATs+, KQs, AJo+} due to the 8% preflop raise. The hands he will fold after our push on the flop would be 77, 88, 99, AQs, AQo, AKs, AKo due to the restrictions we put on his play. He will only call with approximately 4%, or half of his range after the push on the flop from Hero. Thus FE is estimated at 50% (Is this correct???)
EV = FE*Current pot + (1-FE)*[(Current pot + Remaining stack)*Equity - (1-Equity)*Remaining stack]
= 0.5*$4.85 + (0.5)*[($4.85 + $2.8)*0.31 – 0.69*$2.8]
= $2.65
Let us take the situation from the flop, after I raised preflop by $2.25 and was called by TwoOutaRiva8r.
We know that his range is given by {55+, A3s+, K8s+, QTs+, A7o+, KTo+, QJo} due to the 20% preflop raise. The hands he will fold after our push on the flop would be only be K8! This is due to the playing style we assigned to Villian. All the other hands contain gutshot draws and pairs and better. So our fold equity is zero.
EV = FE*Current pot + (1-FE)*[(Current pot + Remaining stack)*Equity - (1-Equity)*Remaining stack]
= 0*($4.85) + (1)*[(0.54)($4.85 + $2.8) – (0.45)*($2.8)]
= $2.87
Thus against both these opponents it is profitable to push the flop as a continuation bet in this situation.
I know that all this might be very obvious and boring and I just wanted to start working on the math a bit. This is a first attempt for me. If I made a mistake please tell me and if there is any other realistic assumptions that I could build into the calculations feel free to comment. Especially the formula I used to calculate the EV I'm not sure of.

LOL ♦, i had the same experience with such guys today, 7BI down on NL100 in 5 minutes, cracking my monsters etc...in i hate such lucboxes....and the problem is that they are aware that they were lucky and you are good, so when you get another good hand they will definitely fold, so in such case is better to immediately change table.
Time for a quick update:
Up till last week I have been grinding NL25 SSS like mad on Poker Stars. Making a slow profit and building my roll up again. Then I managed to luckbox myself into two nice cashes for me. I won $4, 180 man SNG for $215 and also qualified for the sunday million from which I unregistered and sold my tournament dollars for $207.
Now I have a nice comfortable roll for NL50. So far it has really been going good on this limit and I am about 8 SSS stacks up on it. I definately have learned from my past mistakes and are playing an ultra tight SSS strategy at the moment. Later I will slowing incorporate the variations on the basic strategy as I feel more confident on this level.
Long time no update....
Presently I'm not playing regularly anymore because I have to finish my PhD thesis. I have a strick deadline and it is taking all my time at the moment. So playing poker is hugely -$eV because sooner I finish sooner I can start working and get a salary.
I cashed my $600 or so out of Poker Stars and invested it into some poker literature:
Harrington's tournament books: VolI & VolII
Sklangsky: Theory of Poker & No limit Hold'em: theory and pratice
And some sit and go book
So I still play a bit sometimes on sundays but will return next year with a $200 deposit and then grind it up again using SSS. Maybe later I'll focus more on sit and go's and learn to play MTT's better.
All in all I ended in the postive for NL10(25k hands)and NL25(100k hands) and negative for NL50(30k hands).
Nice to hear from you again! Writing your PhD is probably more profitable than SSS on NL 50

Hello there again,
Long time no update but I haven't played poker for ages. Wife messed around with the few dollars left in my account so I'm still silver. I folllowed Boku87's monsterous sng feat and that really makes me feel like poker again. But I have to be displined and finish my work first.
I am currently sitting at page 120 of my thesis, averaging about 2.4 pages per day for the last 25 days == huge upswing. (graphs to follow in future updates ♦)
Sitting currently in the city of Grenoble trying my best to type with this frency keyboard 
I did some skiing for the first time in my life and escaped with only a slightly busted knee and a hugely bruised ego. Next friday I'm going to the Cyclotron here in Grenoble, which I'm pretty excited about. It is probably the Ceasar's Palace equivalent of physics ♦
