I believe 5Qs is just check preflop. Flop is a call, don´t forget we are in position, so we should feel pretty comfortable, at least OTF.

I agree with that too. You said villain is a maniac. I see no reason to raise and make the pot bigger with this hand.

I can see why check preflop makes sense, Q5s is not very strong for raise over limper against maniac.

About the flop action I am a more confused though. I have 9 outs to complete my FD, which makes it about 20% probabilities to complete the project on the turn. Opponent bets 0,14 into a 0,16 pot, so I have to call 0,14 to win 0,44. That's roughly 33% chances, so not enough based on 20% pot odds.

I guess you guys advise me to make the call based on implicit pot odds?

Is there any situation you consider folding with FD on the flop, maybe when opponent overbets by a lot?

It is true that you need roughly 33%. But I would say you have very good implied odds. You have to make only 0.2$ more on later streets if you hit.

Also, I would say that in reality you have more equity. We don't know if villain is going to bet the turn. By the river you will hit your flush with almost 40% equity. You also have a backdoor straight draw, so any 4 or 8 gives you extra outs. Villain can be donking with mid strength hands (like mid pocket pairs), so any Q might be an out too. If villain has the ace and you hit 5 or Q OTT, you will have 5 more outs to hit 2 pair or set.

So you can call the flop because you have great implied odds and because any heart,Q,8,5 or 4 will improve your hand.

You can consider folding if villain overbets big.

The call here is based on the direst odds+implied odds.
You have a FD+BDSD this is enough to call and see the turn.
