what exactly is a deal with a free showdown?

If you are not going to valuebet river anyway after a turn bet, whats the difference in showdown price then?

There are just few draws in his range, like 44 and maybe A4s sine he is a fish. Majority of his range will likely never stand a second barrel here, except for maybe few hands like A7, 77, 88, 99, TT. But these hands will also likely call a river valuebet if we check behind the turn. The point is we get only 2 streets of value from the most of his range and it seems to me its gonna be wider if we check turn, bet river. On top of that we might induce a bet on the river and even get value from some stupid hands.

And in those cases when we are happen to be behind we are basically stacking off with this line, since we will have 1/4 of the pot left on the river.

There are a lot of combos with draws. Any 4, any pair + gut shot. Any card could make him 2 pair as well. I don't want to see a river and have to call a bet there.
Simple as that

won't even a really loose fish like this fold a lot of pair+GS type hand against this turn bet?
i don't see the problem with calling a riverbet against this insane player.
