Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♣ Q♦
fold, fold, BTN raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, BTN raises to 22 BB, Hero raises to 35 BB, BTN calls 13 BB
So villain seems tight by his stats but too few hands to show that he was stealing most of the time. I 3bet with AQo and he makes a small(ish) 4bet. I think my range and hand are often ahead and I consider this 4bet a strategy against weak 3bets so I call.
Questions at this point:
1. Is a (stealing) BU 4bet range stronger that BB 3bet?
2. Should I have gone all-in (5bet)?
Flop: (70.5 BB, 2 players) 5♦ 4♥ 7♣
Hero bets 34 BB, BTN raises to 85.5 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 51.5 BB
This rainbow flop should miss both our ranges most of the time (right?) so I think fold equity is good and bet half pot. I feel that if I check here, he will bet big with all that money in the pot and I will feel much less confident calling his bet so I prefer to lead.
Question 3:
is this still donking if I 3bet and he 4bets on the previous street? Does that still make only villain the agressor?
Instead of folding he's all-in and I think it's +EV and feel confident to call here.
I'm really trying to follow your kind advice and most of the time I'm folding to this kind of aggression, but this just felt like a bluff and some of my study material would have me going all-in so much more than I do.
Question 4:
I guess this is again one of those things you only see at NL2 but was this call +EV in your opinion?
Spoiler
This is kind of funny now. My mental game is not bad but I tilted a little bit. Might have shouted something. ![]()
