Hey guys,
I recently played this hand on NL2 and my primary question is: bet the turn? valueraise river? How could I maximize the value. On the Flop I didn't want to bet, because I don't think UTG has too many suited connectors in his range and is primarily on TT+ and some suited broadways, so I didn't think I have good fold equity against his range.
On the turn, since I didn't cbet flop my betting range is pretty much capped to Kx and some diamond draws that picked up equity, isn't it? Personally I wouldn't go fancy and bluff with 0 equity here regardless of him checking twice. Since I do not know Villain he may have AK in his range as well so I could be dominated. He also could have slowplayed AA and KK but probably he would have tried to get the money in, then. That's why I decided to check back turn. Since this look very weak he could get fancy on the river which gives me value from hands I otherwise wouldn't get to call, too.
I'm not sure if I can valueraise his river bet - he still could have kind of slowplayed AK - or am I too scared? I really don't like KQ too much, espcially in 3bet pots vs UTG. So for me this line taken was fine, but what do you think? Would UTG call with TT+ a river raise? No one knows - but I as well block Queens, so this is a weak argument against a raise, or is it? The longer I think about the line taken the more I'm sure he would do so only with TT-QQ, soo, yeah, probably a raise on the river would have been ok.
