Questions about “Using the Equilator” section: Equity for Completing in the SB.
1) Is the 70% multiplier useful regardless of blind structure? If not how does it change?
Ex - If 70% is for ½ blinds, what is it for 1/3? 2/5? Etc.
2) When figuring the average equity, why does the article not include the BB, who will inevitably be in the hand?
3) Why doesn’t the article take into account the preflop multiplier when calculating the limp range of the opponent?
4) Is the article the best way to figure out when to complete the SB, or are there ways to fine tune these concepts once one has them down?
Ex - with preflop multipliers according to position.
5) Is this a better way to figure out when to complete the SB, as opposed to using the Approx chart (4)? Should they be used in combination, or one or the other? If one or the other, which is better?
A lot of questions I know, but I appreciate every answer. Thanks.
