SNG 9-Man / 22-99 vs AQo Ranges

Have not played 9mans in while but personally from UTG with deep stacks and soft field my raise range would be around AJo+, A9s+, KQo, KTs+, QJs, JTs, T9s, 77+. Being tighter is totally fine but I think AQo+, AJs+, KQs, 88+ would still be fine for most.

Limping small pockets can be better than folding in soft tables but not necessarily habit I would recommend overall.

For set mining call20 is often good starting point. Good side of early position raises is that people are usually less likely to 3bet against it and because of his range strength also your implied odds for set mining increases.

Personally I would tend to open KTo as bottom from HJ and KQo is mandatory open.

Suited connector like 78s in that spot play pretty great with deep stacks. Lot of potential to make strong hand and being in best position available won't hurt either.

In general in micro stake(?) sng 3bet ranges can be kept pretty value heavy. But it really depends on player pool. It's just common that most players don't like fold button so there is less need to balance 3bet range with light 3bets. Won't go deeper into what to 3bet or call as those are very wide topics and depends on many variables.

PS: one hand per topic makes it easier and these sort of questions would likely make more sense in general sng area and not necessarily in hand analyze one imo.

Well ICM is not that big deal in early part. Also biggest fishes are still in game at early part and they will likely play with some absurd holding even versus early position raise.

Biggest problem for wider EP range is if player pool 3bets good amount but usually it's more often that recreational players play too wide by flatting and also overvalue hands like weak or mediocre Ax or some KT. Also possible 3bets are often sized badly.

Of course depends on hero postflop edge also. But I really think AQo is still hand that should be pretty easy to maneuver to make it open from UTG as well.

I am actually surprised, I just saw a video of Collin reviewing another member, and his Open Range ( Collins Advice ) was to open from EP / UTG - 66+ / AJ-A10s+ / KQo - S.Broadways , Which made me quite surprised, Does it have to do on how the game dynamics changed with the years ? Guess i am a super nit, and prob losing some value

AQ easy open-there are allways wierd plays at the beggining of the game, 33 i would minbet, 78 call, kq open.
