In this situation I prefer to call OTF. A bad card can come like a J, T or a 6 but it won't happen everytime. Besides you have position and he's a nit, so if he checks OTT you pretty much know he missed it.

He's a nit, so if he has absolutely nothing on this board is going to fold to your raise, so you won't get any value from worst hands by raising OTF.

Do you really think he shoves 77? He's only going to get called by better. I don't think a straight draw calls a shove here because there's no flushdraws available. This is 99 or JT imo against a player like this.
Always hard to fold, but I think I can do it in this spot against a villain like this.

Just call thid drawheavy board is the worst option, raise or fold every time. If the turn comes J, 10, 6, 5 kill the action, if villain have got over pair he does not pay me. And i do not know where i am this board if these cards come the turn.
