partypoker - $0.05 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 100 BB (VPIP: 15.38, PFR: 15.38, 3Bet Preflop: 12.50, Hands: 66)
SB: 100 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 2)
Hero (BB): 100 BB
UTG: 430.6 BB (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 16)
MP: 186 BB (VPIP: 15.38, PFR: 13.85, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 69)
CO: 336.4 BB (VPIP: 40.00, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 2♦ A♠

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) K♥ A♦ A♣
SB bets 3 BB, Hero calls 3 BB

Turn: (12 BB, 2 players) 6♥
SB bets 6.2 BB, Hero calls 6.2 BB

River: (24.4 BB, 2 players) 7♦
SB bets 17.8 BB, Hero calls 17.8 BB

Would you consider folding or shoving this river? Seems there is not a lot we beat, maybe a bluffing king...

Spoiler

SB shows A♥ J♠ (Three of a Kind, Aces)
(Pre 72%, Flop 74%, Turn 82%)
Hero mucks 2♦ A♠ (Three of a Kind, Aces)
(Pre 28%, Flop 26%, Turn 18%)
SB wins 57 BB

Let me check.... Yea three aces :)
I would definitely not consider folding. If you are unsure, I would just call. And to be honest if you raise him now, I don't know if you will get any calls from weaker hands. So I guess the river call is fine.

No point in raising except sponsorizing better hands. Hard to fold though. Could be an exploitative fold against some opponents you know well enough etc but in doubt just call and inch'allah.

we can never value raise, obviously. but turning bottom trips into a bluff raise with a blocker?

i like the creativity. obviously, we don't beat any of villain's value barreling range, so this is a bluffcatcher.
both players are relatively uncapped, but villain has AK and KK while we don't. however, for the pfa, facing a river raise with AQ should be quite terrifying against a population that doesn't bluff raise rivers...

but well, we probably shouldn't do that. let's be honest, they will either snapcall, or come to the conclusion that we probably have rivered a full, and then still call anyway.

I would play the exact same way.
Im curious about what our raising range OTF looks like in this call preflop vs SB.

Yeah either we don't have one or we can put some PP and some stuff such as JT-QT-QJ into it.

Or 3bet pre? You are right that A2o is not an awesome hand, but keep in mind that SB should be stealing wide. Every time you fold here you will be losing -100bb/100 on this position. If you play A2o, could it be possible that your EV on the long run would be overall only -99bb/100? :)

What I like about la55i is that he's always such an optimistic =)

I think we should 3bet agaisnt steals, but not with A2o, at least agaisnt a random villain.
i dont think we will get many folds pre and if se hit the flop we either have
TPBK or plain lower pair.

A2o is a mixed strategy but for now I prefer to call it indeed.

Meh, I will play any ace BB vs SB. I think that as long as I don't make any big mistakes post-flop this is more profitable than folding. All in all I would like to get my BB defense range to about 40% vs regs.
