20EU MTT live TN in Turnhout
I finished 18th of 63. There were 8 places paid.
Tables were mostly 7 or 8 handed.
I played from 12.15 h - 18.30 h
It was funny that I earned the most chips with 42o BB! It was a MW limped pot and the flop was
428. I betted 3/4 with 2Pair and got called by TP with 8x.
4 so I got the FH and he paid me again 3/4 with TP 8
x, a blank on the river and I betted about 60% and he paid me off again!
This opponent I certainly have to remember for the next time I will meet him at the tables. He gave me 3 streets of value with his TP on a paired board.
With this hand I approximately doubled my stack.
x) I openraise ATo UTG+1 and only BB calls.
xxx and I skip cbet.
T and BB leads out for 1/2 and I raise 3times and he folds.
x) I iso-raise JJ CO versus 2 limpers and 1 limper calls
Qxx and I cbet and he folds.
x) I openraise 55 MP and SB, who is a good reg, 3bets 3times.
He was big stack and because he is also a quite aggressive player, no need to call. I folded and he showed AA.
x) I call 77 in a MW-pot and miss and fold.
x) I iso-raise AKo versus 1 limper.
Kxx and I bet 3/4 and he folds.
x) I openraise 66 MP and BB calls with 5x.
K5x and he donks 80%. I fold. He shows his hand, so I folded the best hand.
This is a very loose quite aggressive opponent.
Next time when he does this, maybe just call once and evaluate on the turn.
Because he is so loose, he plays 50-60% of all hands, he is very hard to read.
x) And then the hand that was unfortunate and that I misplayed,
We where with about 27 players on 3 tables and I had a bit more than average stack. So no need to spew money.
I openraise KQo CO and a player that just arrived at our table calls 22 on BB.
xxx and I cbet 60 -70%.
I didn't know this opponent and unfortunately he appeared to be a sticky callstation, so in this spot there was no need to bluffbet, because this sticky one will not fold.
x and I 2ndbarrel 50% and he calls again.
2 and I check behind and he takes the pot.
This stupid hand costed me half of my stack and it was a mistake versus this sticky opponent that called 2 quite big barrels with UP 22.
I was angry and left the table for a few minutes to regain my mindset.
x) Further I was carddead and blinded out. Last hand all in with 3bb with 66 and a big stack on BB called with KTo. He hits his T and I was out.
What went well:
Focus was quite good and not too much talk
Counting the pot and counting a good percentage to bet
Calculating how much bb I still had
Taking note of the stacks of the others
What can be improved:
Versus sticky callstations it is better to play a kind of bingo. Bluffs and semibluffs are not working very well.
Not only calculating a percentage of the pot, but also calculating how much my bet is in percentages of my stack.
At the end of the day it was the usual disappointment. I have had my chances in this TN, but as often, just 1 misplayed hand and it is over.
