I agree with Primzi and think he described it very good. I think no one can tell to other have some balls or go out with your girlfriend. Do just whatever you feel like. If you regret it later, you'll learn your lesson. Everybody lives different life and no body can feel the way others do. Problem is, I think everybody here would agree if they had enough $$$ wouldn't be playing poker at all. Right !? I recommend you to watch all series of "Zeitgeist". It explains how the monetary system focuses everybody on $$$. Lives, feelings, friendships are wasted on trying to earn enough $$$ in the competitive environment. Some thinks that he could have sex with the nicest girls on the planet after having enough $ other thinks he could buy a Ferrari and stuff like that. It might be true. Everybody is free to do what they wanna do and responsible for themselves.
I personally, play a bit in the mornings before I go to work. Then when I get back from work, play again. I show my winnings. We go out for dinner or clubbing. I taught how to play poker to my gf. Explained her that she could buy a new bag or shoes or some perfume with the $$ she won. Sometimes we play together. Sometimes I take her laptop and we play in the bed together (kinda coaching) while holding hands etc.
She was complaining that I used to play a lot and no attention to her. Well she was right. It's just one should find some mid way with give and take. I know it's hard and stressful to satisfy both sides but once you learn it then It becomes easier to handle such situations.
