If the ante is 1/10 the small blind, the more you fast-fold, you the more you burn.
Let's assume you have a relatively short stack -- say 10 BB.
Each orbit you lose 2.4 big blinds
If you fast-fold, you're going to go through those orbits much faster, and may miss an opportunity to cash -- assuming you get no playable hands.
So -- speed up or slow down?

Slow down within reason. There is not much to gain by speeding up, but it would be inappropriate to tank excessively. There is some degree of sportsmanship that should be maintained in online poker, I believe.
So maybe waiting for around two seconds when the action is on you instead of fast folding would be fine.

In a fast-fold MTT if you wait until the action is on you, then you've already slowed down a lot.
Tanking excessively works against you as well, since while your sitting doing nothing the next blind level is coming to bite you in the behind.
