Zoom - Was the Flop Call right or Just to loose

This is a fold for me as well with AQo preflop oop you could also turn it in to a 4bet bluff pre.And i would't donk bet in to the preflop 3bettor but as played i'm calling tptk it's the top of our range.

OOP I would fold AQ as well after facing a 3-bet. Assuming you don't have any reads on villain being overly agressive, you can give him a range of something like JJ to AA pocket pairs and AQ/AK. If you hit your A, you can still be behind against AA/AK. If you hit your Q, you can still be behind against AA/KK/QQ. In any case, it's a difficult hand to play when you no longer have the initiative, nor the position, and you're likely to bleed money when you actually hit your hand on the flop.

If it was suited, then maybe I'd consider it, but I don't think there'd be any shame in folding it as well.

As played you should check/call the flop.

I'd fold this pf oop given that he's 3betting an UTG raise. As played against an unknown I'd fold, at most you're tied against AQ or facing a JTs monster draw.

Quick side note some of this information might be outdated since the introduction of solvers and a more GTO approach i'm not to sure.But it still works for me when building ranges manually for the micros vs unknowns.Obviously you adjust your defending ranges with more information on players.

But there's other things to consider like your open size which is 3x and your opening range from UTG because what might be a fold for me might a call for you.I believe the mdf vs a 9x 3bet is 28% given a 3x open and 9x 3bet sizings.

So just going off the mdf oop here let's say your opening 14% utg 55+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,AJo+,KQo, then a 29% defence frequency oop would be something like TT+,AJs+,AKo including AQs AJs as 4bet semi bluffs oop and AQo as an optional 4bet semi bluff.

But if your opening say 16% from utg , 55+,A2s+,K9s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,98s,ATo+,KQo then a 30% defending range oop is more like 99+,AJs+,AKo with AJs ATs as 4bet semi bluffs and AQo as an optional 4bet semi bluff.

I don't use a solver so that's about all i can give you using the mdf to work out some ranges.And you likely want to defend around 5% more ip than oop so hands like AQo might be a flat ip and AJo might become the optional 4bet semi bluff in that spot.

I always found combonator a useful tool for building defending ranges vs a 3bet.But that's about all i have and it might not be the best information available to you these days but on the flip side it probably isn't the worst.
