Interesting move. This will change the pot odds pre-flop considerably, and therefore the starting hand ranges.
I just had a look, and it seems that it hasn't slowed the traffic down all that much.

This is mental, on NL2 you have 9c dead money in the flop.

For starters, treat the dead money as if people had put it in there by limping.

Previously, there was 3¢ in the pot, and a typical open raise was 6¢
Callers would need to put in roughly 1/2 pot to call.

Perhaps then, the thing to do is to give the same odds.
If there is 9¢ in the pot make the open raise 12¢ for example.

Or, you could leave the open raise the same, and play with a wider range.
I observed a table of NL 2 zoom for a while today, and both approaches were used.

And of course, there were the usual limpers

Is it me or is NL10 ZOOM much softer since the change?

I play on NL5 and it's pretty fun now. They fold way too much to bigger raises. Tbh I'm fine with these changes. I want to make around 10k hands and make a statistic about fold to steal by TAGs. They don't really seem to change atm. I have a nice sample before too, so I will compare them.

It would makes sense for it to be softer, as players fail to account for the antes.

Yeah, I noticed that as well.
Part of the appeal of zoom is playing a lot of hands, but 9-handed you spend 1/3 of your time in the first three positions where you don't (usually) play a lot of hands.

OTOH, perhaps you could "steal from UTG" by making big UTG open raises.
Since most players won't know you, (for a while at least) they will assume you have a good hand.
This is most effective when you have a big stack.

i wonder if its more profitable now, because people really overfold even vs 3x OR, on the other hand i lose like 4,5 bbs per orbit which is sick in zoom games especially in micros with like 10bb/100 rake

I really love this change .
I think it is more profitable for a Lag style and very bad news for the nits(there are just too manyin these stakes).
I find that more than half of the profit comes from stealing blinds and 3betting taking down pots preflop which is rake free.
And the nits are still not adjusting well to this new change if at all.

They just reverted back these changes. I guess now it will be again NIT infested
