Hi guys,

I am a bit shaken as this has not happened to me before. I tried to log into my account yesterday morning and saw a message in red "error account closed. Please contact [...] email or by phone [...]"

So, I called them immediately and spoke to a supporter who did not have a lot of info. For the moment I only know that it is a management decision and I was not able to withdraw my roll with the supporter on the phone. He also confirmed the funds on my poker account rightly. So, no idea if it is temporarily blocked, under investigation, banned, got hacked or what is going on.
I did not get any e-mail before or after the account was closed btw.

Update October 3rd:
Got an e-mail yesterday from them. Account remains closed but they asked for my banking details to transfer the funds. So, it looks better now and I hope I have the money by the end of the coming week.

What information would you still ask for apart from the obvious one? (Banned from site only or whole network)

Thank you very much guys, I keep you updated

Update September 30th:

Shit. As nothing was happening I tried to call support center again and asked for information and cashout. Did not get through to the management and was also informed that the poker and betting account are both empty! And the support guy thought I was lying and withdraw all my funds on my last cashout in July. So, my 8750.36€ are just gone?
Help please!

1)
Tried to call Gambling comission for help but I only queued and never spoke to someone before office hours were up. They are closed tomorrow. So, trying Friday again...

2) found https://www.ibas-uk.com/ and wanted to raise a complaint there. It is stated there that I should try everything to speak a senior staff member or similar before as the complaint using IBAS might take longer

3) sent an e-mail to the IPoker skin and asked for it to be directed to the management. Let's see if that returns anything

4) I raised a GDPR request to get access to all the data. I hope that works

A bit about me: UK-resident, playing PLO on this Ipokerskin for 7 years+, never had any problems, winning player throughout with decent ev-bb-winrate (mainly playing 1/2 and 2/4 but also from 0.5/1 to 5/T) but not a ton of volume. Have only played a couple of hands there in 2018 and 2019. Playing more or less daily in 2020. Winning nice chunks thanks to coronaboom March to July. First cashout in years about 3 months ago without problems, followed by 2 others shortly after (~25k total). Not aware of anything that I could have done wrong. I use Pokertracker as the only software while playing and due to my very different playstyle nobody with a brain should expect me to be a bot, use RTA or whatever. I play Pokerstars simultaneously. Only changes in the 3 last months are
1) I bought a new laptop and mainly playing on it (since 3 weeks) but sometimes still playing with the old one at my girlfriend's place. Before that I played a bit at her place too but only on my old laptop.
2) I cashed out around 3 quarters of my roll after not having made a cashout in years. Cashouts worked fine btw. Last one in July
3) IPoker has anonymous lobby now to tackle predatory behaviour. If they put sth in behind the scenes like GG and just ban winning players/table selectors/bum hunters based on rules that are not communicated I could fall into that category

So, I would be happy about any advice what to ask for and how to proceed. Would love to play on IPoker again as it is the site where I have always been successfull the most but it might not be a good idea to open a new account on another skin I guess before everything is sorted out(?)

Anyone else with same or similar problem?

Any help very appreciated. Thank you guys

Hey tranceactor,

A good first step is to try and find out if the blocking is coming from the skin (boylepoker) or from the network (iPoker). boylepoker should be able to tell you whether they have blocked your account or not.

Regards

Laz

ouch that sucks!!

i do not know where to turn with your problem but on other poker forums (like 2+2) you could reach out to way more ppl. maybe there will be someone who can give some good advice.

ps: sorry if mentioning that forum breaks rules here

tbh i can imagine your 1st point can bring up some questions in their mind (playing muiltiple devices at multiple places). maybe thinking you share your acc with someone. if this is their problem i think they should reach out to you to have a chance to prove you are the one using both. insta bann is not the way they should handle a case like this. ofc i am just guessing and no clue what is their concern.

GL with your case!

If you don't get any joy from Boyle poker via confirmation of why they confiscated and suspended your account. You then need to write a formal letter to the UK Gaming Commission requesting them to contact Boyle and find out the exact circumstances which caused them to close your account. Then for the UK Gaming Commission to report back to you their findings.

I would point out to the Gaming Commission that they ostensibly exist to protect the interests of UK players and are dutybound to ensure that fair play and transparency is seen to be made, to clear any ambiguity regarding the lack of communication. You could also say that you are making a copy of the formal letter and will contact The Sun newspaper warning readers of the potential pitfalls of online poker in regard to confiscated funds without an explanation given. Tabloids love stories like this. You could also inform Boyle poker about your plan to involve the national media.

I think if you do this, your situation will soon be resolved. If not, at least you tried.

Looks like it is only a business decision you won too much (in their eyes). Not unfamiliar in this business. Seems unfair but they have the right to do this.

I got no clue if you can still play on the network despite of this ban.

"The decision to close your account was made by BoyleSports". So, I hope I won't be banned from IPoker.

Thanks kacsa1st

Willaim Hill or Betfair should be very reliable both are very well established bookmakers in the UK and i know on Betfair you can get 35% flat rakeback with some affiliates +10% extra from Rake races + other bonuses.

Hmmmm....
I had accounts on William Hill and Poker 770
Both told me that they could no longer accept me as a player since I lived in Canada.
I got the impression that this applied to all iPoker sites.

I had a 3rd site that had the word "bet" in its name, but I looked at all the iPoker Skins past and present
I'm pretty sure it wasn't BetFred or Netbet -- and the others don't ring any bells, so I don't know.    NARF!
I know it wasn't Bet365.
I have lots of sites on the go atm, so I probably won't add another at the moment.
I would go back to William Hill in a flash, though...

Bet365 imho are every bit as reliable as William Hill it's a very well established major uk bookmakers so i wouldn't have any issues using the site if that's a concern.

What limits do you play and how much do play to get banned. I also play there and this looks strange.

I am noticing most ipoker skins have this untold policy as I read that many regs were banned for no reason on different skins. I think the case for me was that they simply knew I am a reg through my corespondece with support about differen things that recs would never ask like some security, legal, etc. and being associated with a RB affiliate that just brings regs to their site imo, etc.
