You can shove ore as a 3bet its plus ev but it boosts variance and raise is more plus EV. Why is that? It is because if you shove he folds a ton and calls a top heavy range. They like calling pairs and we like to have more overlay for that. If you raise they tent to defend the raise to wide and overfold postflop.

40bb deep there is no point to have shoving range. Obviously we make profit by shoving AK but it's not sensible strategy.

I would 3bet to 120 though. Nasty spot on flop. When he overbet donks you probably don't have fold equity so it's basically 670 for pot of 1600. Meaning you need bit over 40% equity cEV wise. Bit more with ICM. So you can plugin different ranges on equilab etc. and check your equity. Villain has to have some flush or straight draws in his range to get shove +EV.
