Our temperature is once again above freezing, and that's great, because the temperature in my office is 16 -- yesterday it was a low as 12 and my space heater is broken.

Temperatures are all going to be 7 - 10 for the rest of the month.
Today I finally have a better and tasty vegan day. Yesterday Homer and I went to the grocery store and I could buy some pseudo-vegan stuff and some beans and rice, so that I can prepare a nice meal. Besides, as always, we have mussgo-veggies which is always great for a vegan day.
For breakfast I had some oatmeal. Yesterday I found that my favorite glutenfree cereals were on special sale for only 0,39 cents per package. So, I bought about 9 of them (about 50 grams of cereals each package). Had some for breakfast with almond milk.
As for lunch:
Had a nice salad with pseudo-"grilled chicken", mushrooms and beans. I love salads with different kinds of stuff - whatever it is, almost anything goes. 
This time itΒ΄s a pseudo-"chicken salad" with beans and mushrooms. For dessert I had a tasty(!) vegan chocolate variant with hazelnuts, bought that yesterday. We have a new grocery store now nearby and they offer WAY more organic-, glutenfree- and vegan stuff.

And I first thought that this plate was a tortilla, in which case it would have looked even more tasty.
We just had 'ghetti

After supper we lit a fire in the fireplace.
First time we've done that in ages and ages.

It was No Meat Tuesday in Harrier's Burgeria too, and this time, I wanted to try something new: Vegan burger patties which are primarily made of sunflower protein.
Now, sunflowers have quickly become a bit of a favorite of mine, thanks to their ability to troll cute puppies, so I definitely wanted to give those patties a try when I saw that mix in the store. It was available in Mexican, Oriental and Classic style flavors, and I tried the Mexican one.
It all starts with combining the contents of the package with 150 ml of boiling water to create some kind of mush.
Forming patties out of this was a huge mess. I had to make mini burgers because those were the only buns I had at home (and the car's battery was dead, so I couldn't even drive to the store to get any others), and foolishly decided to use a burger press. Predictably, those mushy things disintegrated and clean-up was a mess. In the end, I could hardly form six patties for my eight buns.
According to the package, the mix makes four regular sized patties, and in my experience, the meat of one reg patty makes two mini ones, but it didn't work with this sunflower stuff. I highly doubt I would have been able to make four regular sized ones either, they would have had to be paper thin.
So that was a bit disappointing, but here's the final result:
My verdict: A bit dry, but decent. I did not taste like meat at all, but it was never supposed to. I served them with lettuce, cheddar and some Louisiana hot sauce.
There surely are better meat alternatives, especially considering all the messy preparation and clean-up, so I don't think I will be buying again. Still got one bag left to use up, though.
Is it enough just to check if I will save money in the future with energy saving measures or do I actually have to check how much energy producing these parts did cost?
Most of the "energy saving" measures we have done here at Castle Vorpal are very simple.
We use our stove and oven less and less, and the microwave more and more.
The local utility had a thing a few years back -- some sort of promo to see if you could save 5% of your energy usage.
We beat that the first year, but didn't quite make it the second.
We are still running at about 90% of the electricity we used to use.
I go to visit my brother today.
I finally got together 873 songs on a flash drive to play on the trip.
Think that is enough to last 2 hours
Almost made a no meat Wednesday but then I noticed we have tons of Mussgo-veggies. So, decided to make Irish Stew yesterday for dinner.
But made way too much 
Well then, had Irish Stew for lunch and will have Irish Stew for dinner today. :facepalm::f_ugly:
It's been a while since I've had a good takeout schnitzel.
I tried something new today, a schnitzel topped with bolognese sauce and parmesan cheese, served with spaghetti bolognese.
Pretty good.
"spaghetti bolognese" >> "spaghetti viennese"
I had beef pot pie last night.
Sadly, there was no pot in it.
It wasn't even in a pot.
But it was tasty
