PokerStars - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 66 BB
MP: 51 BB
CO: 64.5 BB
Hero (BTN): 133.5 BB
SB: 142 BB
BB: 100 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 6♥ T♥

fold, fold, CO calls 1 BB, Hero raises to 4 BB, fold, fold, CO calls 3 BB

Flop: (9.5 BB, 2 players) J♦ 7♣ Q♣
CO checks, Hero bets 5 BB, CO calls 5 BB

Turn: (19.5 BB, 2 players) 8♠
CO checks, Hero checks

River: (19.5 BB, 2 players) Q♥
CO checks, Hero ??

So he is playing 73/0 VPIP PFR after our first 11 hands. I check back the turn thinking he will not fold for sure after calling this flop. And I can take a free card for my gutshot. But when the river another Queen falls and he checks again, I think he doesn't have Qx. So the thing is, what will he fold. I think Jx he will call always, even overbets I think. I think. So the question is, would he fold 7x, 8x? And worse he will of course fold right. Do you think it is worth a bet and how big a bet do you think is profitable?

If I decided for the bluff, I would bet something like 3/4 or entire pot.

But in majority of cases I would check back and accept potential loss, it doesn't feel right to bluff here to me.

yes i did check back in the end, deciding it is not worth it, he calls me way too often with pair there.

I'm most likely a nit, but T6s seems like a easy fold pre-flop.
It will be tough to bluff against a fish and T6s isn't a hand that could flop well. Tough to hit a straight, but a flush could be possible. Post-flop seems fine. I wouldn't bluff against a passive player.

so your isolation range from BU vs that big fish CO openlimp would be? 76s+ T8s+ A8o+ 22+ QTo+ KTo+ A2s+ ?

I agree with SDK. I also think that it is a bit too wide to isolate. This hardly ever flops well. So it can only be profitable if you know villain folds to a lot of cbets...
When you play this hand I'm afraid you will have to take the pot down by bluffing a lot... And I think it is -ev in the long run. Unless you pick the right villains to play against ofcourse...

As played I definitely think that would be a wrong spot to bluff the river. Due to the queen card...

Something like that. 54s could be a iso as well. At least any broad way, Ax hand and suited connectors

If you Iso Raise somebody that means he is a fish, no good player will ever limp so you should have the same range everytime.

For example Weazel recommends from MP and CO to use when you ISO the same range you use to Open raise first in from those positions but from the Buton because our range for open raise is wider - like 50%, he says that we should use around 40% of our range.

This is a healthy ISO range from the Buton :

If you dont feel confortable with such an wide range then you can play more tight, something like this :

what? easy river bet imo.
we lose to about every draw, and our blockers aren't bad at all. i find it hard to believe that a small bet to fold out at least better draws has worse EV than giving up...
if we get called by 22 or AT high, that's also valuable info in itself. we can't say that the probability of villain calling with those hands is 100%.

It is NL2 zoom. The info can be valuable, but isn't as much of an advantage in zoom imo.
In NL2 zoom, I also think that villain is almost always going to call a river bet on this board, especially after they have already called a cbet. And you simply don't beat anything. You bet, because you feel he might be on a flush or straightdraw. which imo is only a very small portion of the hands he might have. So I still feel that in the long run it's a -EV play to bet here.

the thing is why i isoraised with T6s, is i love playing postflop against them, especially in position. i feel like i could outplay them or something.

yes yes but i think he will make sooo many mistakes postflop that this raise is still +EV. it is the bottom of my range though, T5s would fold I think. of course i dont have fold to Cbet notes about him, we have 11 hands about him on PokerTracker HUD and im 2tabling. but yes, i might have been too loose on NL2, considering it fun :)

thanks for reply

let say I hit Tx a good pair, he will pay off at least two streets. and 70% vpip after 11 hands still shows that he can everything in his range. he had 97o btw

taavi, don't worry, he is just trying to say that you give the impression that you still believe you made a good play, after all the advise that has been given. If you are not open to change your point of view, or look critically at your own hands, there is no point in posting a hand in this review section.
