Villain raises 2.5BB from UTG+1 and everyone calls. I raise to 6x the initial raise and villain 4-bets. Villain is VP10/PFR10 over 106 hands. I don't see him having anything worse than AK. I can only see him having AA/KK/AK/QQ, and against that range I'm horribly behind. Even if I added JJ to his range I'd still be behind. Would the correct decision here to have been to fold, or shove as I did?

Just a cooler I think.
There is nothing wrong with 5-Bet shoving QQ at this limit.

I think there's truth to both of your posts. Sometimes the opponent would show up with KQ in these situations, but based on my experience those are very rare. If the villain had VP60/PFR30 I wouldn't have thought twice here. However, he's 10/10 and there are nitty players in this limit who know the value of their starting hands.

I guess long-term it doesn't pay to overthink these spots. I'll just close my eyes and let the cards fall where they may. :f_p: I don't see my opponents folding QQ here in my situation when I have AA/KK, so it will be +-0.

Depends on the range you would give to Villain. If you think Villain is 4betting with KK+, AK, or wider, I think, there is no alternative to the way you played it.
You have 39% equity. So you have the pot odds to call. But it's better to 5bet jam to equalize your positional disadvantage and because you are pot committed OTF anyway.
If you think Villain's 4betting range is tighter, then you should fold.

@monteCarlol
I think that makes a lot of sense. Whether to jam or fold depends on what range I put my opponent on. Usually I can assume that the range is very wide on NL2, but if I am going to try to put my opponents on ranges based on their stats, this is as good a spot as any to do so.

Against a really tight player I would most likely fold. 10/10 is really tight on a 6 handed table. Any info on villains 4bet stats?

well coolers suck, villain dependent but 105 hands doesn't help much, as for range if you put him on Ak AA,KK,
you have 6 combos of AA and KK for 12 and 16 combos of AK. and either way what is a good outcome probably AK but we are still just a coin toss/ little advantage. it really is dependent on Villian this time you just got snake bitten ..

I agree to everything that has been said above. However when they raise this big, I only continue with KK+ (unless villain's stats tell me differently.) Folding this might be exploitable, but I think you won't encounter that many players that will 4bet light.

I don't think 105 hands is a big enough of a sample to draw conclusions from wrt. 4bet stats, but I think 10/10 is at least a decent indication to suggest the villain is tight and aggressive and has a hand he thinks is very strong, given the action (he raised from MP, multiple people called, I 3bet big).

At this limit, no. Most of the time one can assume the villain has a really strong hand when they show initiative like this. If they 4bet bluff me in this scenario and shake me off my good hands, good on them. Next time I'll have aces. ;)
