Villain had been active and went often for double barrel if cbetting flop. Not big sample but this hand was few hands before. Flop went checked, I pot turn and x-c river.

So in this one I called pre and decided to just x-c flop.

As I hoped he double barrels big on turn and went for pot raise.

River pairs the ace and we are in quite awkward spot. Not much value in shoving river so went for check. Would you call or fold if he shoves? One blocker to full house but not too relevant and Qs is probably quite bad. I would have likely folded even though pot odds are pretty awesome.

The first picture looks wrong :f_ugly:
Anyway I think you played the hand well. Tough to get value on the river I think with a straight or villain is a PLO fish like me :f_tongue:

Checking seems wise.
You're right about pot odds though. He has 1/3 pot behind -- that's barely a blocker bet.

I think that it was the previous hand.

It was earlier hand versus same villain. Just pointing out villain is capable of bluffing. Of course these two situations are very very different.

I'd definitely call villains river shove as you're getting a good price given his tendencies. I'm not too sure about raising the turn though as it might be better to give villain the opportunity of barreling his air on the river.

If you are curious about card removal the range explorer tool in PPT Odds Oracle is very useful as it can be used to enumerate the effects.
