V had a tendancy to raise people when having any position on them, he was doing it often, a-lot of times min-raising just to take the initiative and position so I did not perceive his range to be very strong.

V stats: 41/31/ AF 1.22 ( 40 hands)

PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.01/$0.02 - 6 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG: $0.92 (46 bb)
MP: $5.56 (278 bb)
CO: $2.00 (100 bb)
BU: $3.98 (199 bb)
SB: $1.82 (91 bb)
BB (Hero): $3.22 (161 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with A Q
UTG calls $0.02, MP raises to $0.06, CO calls $0.06, 2 players fold, Hero 3-bets to $0.27, 1 fold, MP calls $0.21, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.63) 2 7 T (2 players)
Hero bets $0.28, MP calls $0.28

Turn: ($1.19) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $0.58, BB (Hero) folds

standard bet range spot and fold turn? what do you think about the sizing on the flop?

Preflop you don't have to raise this superbig... even 18c is ok looking you have like strong hand maybe that wants to get called... You might want to have this image that you have a strong hand... on the other hand 18c 3bet pre he might get suspicious that it is bluff squeeze and 4bet... but then according to his 4bet you can still have a read on him and call for example.

I think nothing is folding to this 44%sized cbet on this Txxhh board. Like no hand will fold to this sizing. What's the point of cbetting this size then, right. Is it for value? Every good valuehand of yours would bet big on this board, right. So with this small bet he might just sense weakness and float you very light here with 100% of his range, with the intention of bluffing you later.

On turn I don't mind the fold, his sizing looks like a valuebet that wants to get called...

Pre-flop is good.
On a flop like this that misses a lot of your pre-flop 3-bet range, I prefer to check-call (or check-fold). You have 2 overs and the nut BD FD so calling and seeing a turn isn't horrible.

"Only Sith deal in absolutes" 😃😃😃

Nothing is a bit harsh to say, people do fold to any size of cbet frequently. But it is true, with NL2 and villains descriprion in mind, that he is probably calling such raise most of the time 👍

Out of position I wouldn't mind to make it at least 27c against a raise and a call in front of you.
Another option is to try to keep the pot small and play a multi way pot with AQs with just a call.
Now you build up a big pot without position and it's always hard to continue if you miss the flop.

Cheers,

You don’t want to give your opponent amazing pot odds by betting smaller pre-flop, then they are not making a mistake by calling while being IP against you. In 3-bet pots the GTO strategy is to use a smaller sizing when betting flop this is because SPR is much lower than a normal SIngle Raised Pot and its much easier to get stacks in by the river. A “large bet” in 3-bet pots is half pot, here I bet 44% which is pretty good sized.
Theres probrably a case for checking but I had a diamond backdoor and 2 overs + I felt like opponents do overfold to c-bets so I bet, not sure if I should have though. What will villain fold with on the flop? Maybe missed broadways, possibly weaker Ax without a BDFD? Maybe 88,99. I can play this hand the same way I would play Aces, if villain wants to “float “ when I have Aces and try to bluff me off of them I would be very happy, same with a set etc.

like the 3 bet sizing, Flop i am probably checking with this hand, i would probably also check with all my big pairs as well, even possibly c/r, the board hits his range a little better then yours as he is calling all his pairs 77-1010.. unlucky turn card as well, if it was a diamond you could double barrel.

keep grinding

I think preflop the 3bet squeeze also the sizing is ok.
OTF you said it yourself MP is aggressive and loose player and he already iso raised somewhat an utg player and then he calls 3bet on larger sizing.
There is just no need to cbet the flop for 50 % potsize its just burning money away. Mps range somewhat connect on the flop and he isnt gonna fold enough here so i would not cbet or i would very small as a blockbet to see a cheap turn. There is just no need for balancing range here. Mp just isnt gonna fold anything here.

but weaker Ax no need to push out. in my opinion he will never fold 99, 88 there
