Not that unlikely, I think, though I'm not sure about the exact odds. At least in my standard daily MTT, I would usually assume a straightforward playing style from my opponents, unless I know that one in particular has a history of doing some tricky stuff.
No idea what your opponent was thinking there. Based on their stack, they clearly do know how to play, but snowing in position on the last draw after going all-in doesn't make a bit of sense. The only explanation would be that they were misreading their hand, but I don't see how. Even with a two-color deck, it should be easy to spot with three black cards.

Major Disappointment
I've cashed a bunch -- but it has been min-cashes or 2nd tier only
I've been mostly card dead -- as my whining previously indicates (btw, I did cash the Badugi fairly nicely in the 2nd tier)
I also managed to complete my PokerStars challenge for $60, but I don't think I'm in profit for the month even with that.
And I'm not gonna look, either.

Seriously, though, I'd consider any 5-Badugi to be in the category of "try to go all-in, no matter what the situation is like". Most 6-Badugis would be in there too, except for rare and specific situations where your opponent plays a very suspicious line. You even had them nicely set-up with a potential check-raise here, and they surely would have called.Implied odds are an key factor in PL Badugi, so it is important to extract good value when you do hit those spots.

Easy game
We had a Brother multi-function printer for over 9 years.
Sadly, it just recently stopped recognizing that it had ink in it.
Just as sadly, it won't use the scanner function any longer either -- when you power it up, it whines about the lack of ink and goes no further.
So I guess it goes in the bin.
We replaced it today with an Epson ET-3760.
So far so good.
It does a remarkable job with photos -- let's see how it does with coloured text...
Surprisingly, it rendered the coloured text above in black.
I tried with Firefox, Chrome and edge -- all rendered the text the same way.
Oddly enough, the two that went to the printer were in different apparent sizes.

Snowing is when a player stands pat with anything other than a pat hand.
In 5-Card Draw, pat hands are straight flushes, full houses, flushes and straights
It can be useful, and one needs to do it periodically for several reasons:
Β If players know that you can snow, they can call your post-draw bets when you do have a pat hand.
Β If you are seen to pat frequently, opponents can assume that at least some of the time, you're snowing
Β You can win money from player that you know fold too tightly post draw
But there is a time and a place for everything.
In this hand, BB just flats a fair-sized pre-draw raise. If he really had a pat hand, with his stack size, a 3Bet is pretty much required.
I'm not saying my call was the smartest move ever, but with my stack size, losing isn't going to hurt all that much.

Yes, it help is you hit your gin card OTR, but you have to have a hand that you can draw to for it to be any good.
I've been playing these upper limit FL games because you don't lose (or win) much while you accumulate points.
It helps when you can scoop a pot now and again though...
A solid player is rarely going to get scooped though, so all you do is accumulate money.

Weird that they didn't raise preflop... but maybe not all that foolish, considering that you (and BTN) had a chance of re-raising them all-in, making any attempt to snow futile, or to call and bring the pot to a size that would turn postdraw bluff catching into a less uncomfortable decision.
