PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 5 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG (Hero): $5.23 (105 bb)
CO: $4.59 (92 bb)
BU: $8.22 (164 bb)
SB: $5.67 (113 bb)
BB: $5.53 (111 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07) Hero is UTG with T T
Hero raises to $0.15, 3 players fold, BB 3-bets to $0.47, Hero calls $0.32

Flop: ($0.96) 7 4 3 (2 players)
BB bets $0.32, Hero calls $0.32

Turn: ($1.60) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.02, BB calls $1.02

River: ($3.64) J (2 players)

Is the turn a meaningful value bet after the villain's check?
I think I played the hand reasonably till the turn.

Checking back turn is fine. There are not much worse hands that call, and if villain takes this line with lets say QQ KK or KQ with one club, he is calling anyway,
at least one time. And you have showdownvalue and some kind of weak flushdraw, i would just check and bluff/value bet other parts of your range.

Considering that OTT you now have second pair, and the board now makes flushes possible, and the A is solidly within a BB calling range, I would categorize the turn bet as a semi-bluff, and I think is is an OK play, since it gets you to a cheaper showdown.

Was your intention OTT to bet and fold to a substantial raise?

Once the turn bet is called, though, the check back OTR is fine.

Yes, I would fold the raise. I don't think it would be profitable to call and especially on NL5 players don't bluff this way.

I don't like the turn bet, the Ace is better for villains range and our hand has been downgraded when the over-card comes so I would check back the turn. I'm pretty confident GTO would check OTT with our hand.
