PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 5 players
Hand delivered by Upswing Poker

UTG (Hero): $5.38 (108 bb)
CO: $5.48 (110 bb)
BU: $11.15 (223 bb)
SB: $28.61 (572 bb)
BB: $6.92 (138 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.07) Hero is UTG with J A
Hero raises to $0.15, 2 players fold, SB calls $0.13, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.35) 5 K 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($0.35) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.30, SB calls $0.30

River: ($0.95) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.68, SB raises to $6.50, Hero??

Is it an easy fold on the river?

With a mere top pair on such a board, I'll take the cheap showdown unless I know SB is bluff-crazy

Any info on villain would help, but read less this is a easy fold on the river. it's already close to make a value bet on a wet board like this and against most villains accept calling stations I would check the river behind.

Cheers,

Bluff the flop, as played I would have bet 2/3 turn and river to get value from worse Kx or A. And fold to the river raise, we block some of his logical flushes but he can still have some and be overplaying a set or two pair. Most likely I would put him on is Nut-flush because he checked flop and turn so I think he was not too concerned about protecting his hand.
