I play their freebies every day, but that is it.

In November that worked out to $12.54 — thanks to a $5.00 Spin&Gold and a few decent Battle Royal finishes

Still Going...

I didn't play nearly as much this week
This is due in part to concentrating on PokerStars and a bunch of other stuff.
Of the tournaments I did play, I was ITM only 22% — quite a bit down from my usual 40 or so.
I failed to cash even one today, and Saturday is my usual high-volume day...

Full details are here: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3285338#post3285338

But still, an new record, so no complaints.

Not a Lot Happening

However I finished my 40% rakeback challenge, so I thought I would play some NLHE on 888
I played a few hands of NL 20, thinking that player might play sanely.
No such luck.

I watched the sorts of hands they played and realized that it was a case of "fit or fold" since a) nobody folds to bets or raises and b) it isn't really possible to assign a range to a player.

This is the rock-bottom of my UTG open range, and I hadn't played any hands at all during the first orbit, so I thought I'd give it a go...
Pacific Poker - $0.20 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero bets $0.65, BTN calls $0.65

Turn: ($2.60, 2 players) 4♠:
Hero bets $1.71, BTN calls $1.71

River: ($6.02, 2 players) 7♥:
Hero bets $1.20, BTN calls $1.20

Hero shows 6♦:7♦: (Straight, Eight High) <<<888 now no longer automatically shows folded hole cards unless the player allows it.

Hero wins $8.00
Rake paid $0.42

Another Bad Day On the River

See the https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3286698#post3286698

Not nearly the usual volume — most of my play has been on PokerStars.
I played a few hands of NL 20 on 888, and frankly I really don't want to play hold'em here.
Every enters the pot pre, no-one folds on the flop, and more often than not, somebody gets runner runner boat, straight, flush or whatever.

I'm a poker player, not a gambler.

On the other hand, I could turn this to my advantage (how?)
Just tighten way up and pound the crap out of my good hands? <<< That works in freerolls, and I do well in those.
Alternatively, enter a wider range of pots, and just exit flops with no pair, no draw.

anyway, the full weekly report is at https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3286710#post3286710

Hey! I Played!

3 Tournaments so far — one cash

It has been a very busy month all over Vorpal Manor, so not much time to devote to the Hold'em micros

New Record!

I was watching a twitch streamer playing the $3.30 Deepstack Turbo, and thought "why not?"

Finished 10th of 149 runners for $8.69 to bring the 888 roll to $830.23

This hand: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3288620#post3288620 helped immensely, since I bought in with 3minutes of late reg left.

So that really helped. What helped even more is how strangely wildly the opponents were.

Can I actually win at hold'em? I do, but I don't feel like I am any good at it. I guess that is a weird form of tilt, but there it is.

It Only Takes One Hand

To rescue a totally card-dead session
This is the session:

This is the hand...
Opponent in BB is playing 90/30/12.5, but is normally very passive post-flop.
I called the turn pot bet with 1/2 the pot locked up, with outs to the scoop.
As it turns out, I 3/4 MP+1 and scooped BB — who shouldn't have been in the pot at all.

Pacific Poker - $0.05 PL Hi/Lo - Omaha Hi/Lo - 8 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: $0.88
BTN: $4.93
SB: $1.07
BB: $14.77
Hero (UTG): $6.25
UTG+1: $2.46
MP: $5.04
MP+1: $0.99

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has 9♠:3♥:A♣:2♥:

Hero calls $0.05, UTG+1 calls $0.05, fold, MP+1 calls $0.05, fold, fold, fold, BB checks

BB bets $0.22, Hero calls $0.22, fold, MP+1 raises to $0.94 and is all-in, BB raises to $1.66, Hero calls $1.44

Turn: ($4.48, 3 players) 3♣:
