I've always liked giraffes!

I have 8 hands on this one — played 100% of them with half a stack, and hyper aggro

No way I'm folding, but even incompetent players can hit sets, two pair, straights and all sorts of stuff when holding weird hands.

As you can tell, I am playing NL 10 now — I figure that an 800 dollar bankroll should be sufficient even for a hold'em weakling. We'll see how it goes.

Phew, I do not like how that hand played out:
- call on the button to achieve exactly what? Have a range advantage vs UTG? nope? Have good implied odds when you hit - nope! (when you hit A53 flop, he either has AK and you beat or 77 and folds and you MAY get a cbet)
- flop raise is way too small - if you decide to raise.
Once he goes over the top, well...you have to play it like you did. But I would not have had a nice feeling with that one

Well yeah, but playing 100% of hands even over a small sample shows little or no positional awareness.
Hyper aggro — AF of 5 IIRC — means any bet or raise can be taken with a grain of salt.

I'm now on Level 99 on 888
But I have no idea if Level 100 gives me any benefit. Above Level 80 I could play in the $10,000 monthly freeroll, which I've cashed a couple of times.
I'm hoping that Level 100 will give me access to the $25,000 Monthly Elite tournament.

The higher-level freerolls are harder to cash, but the min-cashes are worth quite a bit more.

 Rule #1:  Don't Chase!
 Rule #2:  Fold yer crap!
 Rule #3:  No stupid river calls!
 Rule #4:  don't break pat hands unnecessarily[1]
 Rule #5:  Don't bluff rivers on 888![2]

These rules are in response to several of my "traditional" leaks, and most of them relate to playing too many hands, or playing them foolishly.
These "rules" were created on my stream to remind me to avoid those leaks.

[1] In lowball, a pat J-lo beats 50% of all 1-card draws, so breaking it and drawing will result in a worse hand 50% of the time
[2] A new one today — even though I'm not streaming. I discovered to my horror that people on 888 will call far to widely

and a couple of observations...
Yesterday I punted of $7.33 playing NL 5, and today it all came back — except for one tablespoon [1]

Observations:
 On 888 — perhaps elsewhere — players in fast-fold (zoom) games tend to avoid playing against deep stacks
 Players tend to bluff against the wrong hands — example below.
 Min-raising is useless in fast-fold (unless you like folding a lot). So I'm opening 3x min, and 4x from SB and UTG just like in the olden days
 similarly, 3Bets need to be bigger if you are going to keep the initiative.

I started today down a BI again, but hung in there.
My comment on this hand: "Thankfully, players like this still exist..."

If I'm not mistaken, you were there at the beginning — when I punted away $20.00 on 888 to start this whole recovery.

That wasn't the best of the commercials — it was the only one I could find with the tag "except for one tablespoon"
The best one starts "...and it all comes back..." just before the "except for one tablespoon" part.
This is a meme in the Vorpal Family — whenever one person says, "and it all came back" someone will always finish the line.

Down 4 BI at NL 5 in 1800 hands
The idea was to play a complete 3 hour session in 3 1-hour segments.
That part worked fine.

What didn't work well was:
AA cracked by QQ who turned a Q
KK beaten by QQ who turned a Q
KK beaten by AA
AK flopped a K and got called down by AA
AA cracked by JJ who flopped a J
Each of the above was at least $3.00

The rest was more-or-less standard.

Not to worry — it will all come back (except for one tablespoon which I will get from the freerolls)

But when you put it in perspective the $22 I lost this week doesn't hurt the giraffe all that much...
