Unknown villain. My question is whether I should have bet the turn as I did or not when the overcard appeared?

I think you played ok both hands. The first hand you could just check on the turn, betting is fine as well, as he'll probably fold to your bet if he didn't have a K.

Second hand just check fold the flop, not a good flop to cont-bet especially in a multi-way situation.
