Best of luck accomplishing those goals. I presume you have plans to reach each one?
With the triathlon in there, and the lake swim, I'm going to guess that the weight goal will fall all by itself...

Wow, that's an awesome goals list! Will be following your progress, don't mind me saying but I think your goals are realistic, just make a routine and go step by step.
Happy holidays, best of luck and of course

Brag: 5 times quads
Beat: you never get paid out all 5 times...
Variance: but sometimes you do!

A picture is worth a thousand words they say, so here's one picture about my last one and half months in poker:

The blog/challenge won't be updated until this sh_t has gone.

Losing 20% of your bankroll is devastating. Imagine losing 20% of your ALL TIME poker winnings in one downswing....

How long is a downswing?
In 2018 I won a MicroMillions, and came 4th in another, and with a few other good things I had a bankroll over 4K
I've lost nearly half of that, and not (I hope) by being an idiot.
I just haven't run deep in any majors since, and that can really carve a hole in the wallet.

Keep on keeping on — be careful not to over-compensate

Cheers,
VS

Thank you! I don't play MTTs, but I heard some crazy stories like yours about variance there. However I could not imagine it can happen to me in CG as well. Downswing is almost two months now and 80k hands.

A downswing over 80k hands is really fucking tough. With the volume that I play ATM, this would last over 2 years. I can't imagine handling this well.
See it as an upside that you are able to put in so much volume. I hope that you will overcome this very soon. Hang in there!

Thanks for the wishes, it seems like it helped! It seems like my biggest leak is being result oriented. After I had a +$90 day, the pressure released and I was back playing my A game again. This is a very important thing that I have to work on in the future.

Result from January:

I will update my 2022. goals later this week, when I receive exact numbers from Unibet.

2022. January Update

1, Finish my side tankroll challenge

No hands played in the challenge. According to the challenge BRM I should play NL25, but I wasn't even confident in my game enough to play NL10.

2, 180 hours if study time in poker

180/16,4 hours of study done.

3, Play my first session of NL50

4, Record a session every month with my comments and upload it here

TBH I completely forgot about this one :f_ugly: I owe you one recorded session.

5, Read 6 books

I read a book, but it was a thriller so it doesn't count. Also I started to read The Mental Game of Poker again and another book for my job.

6, Reach $10 hourly in poker

My hourly was $2,07 in January, which is really poor. Also when I set this goal, I knew I will have to move up to reach $8 in average.

7, Make $6.000 from poker

$6.000/$114,96 I can say the same about this goal that I said about the previous one.

8,Play 500.000 hands

500.000/44.644

9, Lose 13 kgs of weight

I lost only 2kgs. It's okay, but in this pace my goal will take another 5,5 months to reach. I have to work harder on my diet.

10, Swim across lake Balaton

In December I worked out once a week in average, but last week I did 3 swimming sessions and 1 gym session.I can be proud of my progress on this one :f_cool:

11, Complete my first triathlon

This one is connected to the previous one, good progress made IMO.

Congrats for your achievements. It's always better to set process oriented goals than result oriented goals, IMO, and don't be too hard on yourself!
Good luck with the grind!

Thanks guys for the support and advices, I can't tell how good it feels feels! :f_drink::f_drink:

The rollercoaster keeps going:

After the 40 buyin downsing I was a bit lucky: I won $90 on GG Care and Unibet gave me 5*€10 Spin ticket and one €50 cash game ticket f̶o̶r̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶s̶o̶n̶ thanks to PokerStrategy! From the tickets I made "only" €99,5 instead of €100 ( ) .

I booked some nice sessions and won 7 buyins on NL10. Then it started again: 13 buyin losing day, moved down to Unibet NL4, which is the softest pool I have ever seen and in the past 4 days I dropped 12 buyins there as well. I don't really know how much variance can I take, seriously... Little more than 2 months ago I was rolled for NL50 and ATM I am playing NL4 and if I lose in this pace, soon I will have to grind NL2 for pennies. Crazy....

Biggest part of my roll is on GG Poker. I tried to withdraw in 6 times in the past two weeks and they declined them all with different reasons. Support (which claims to answer questions within a few hours) doesn't reply me for days and they are deleting my questions on their Discrod servers Q&A section....

Only silver lining is that it can't be worth than this.
