I really hate to to fold there but I find it hard to believe he would bluff 3 streets with absolutely nothing. And TPTK on this board considering how this hand was played didn't look that strong anymore. Villain was playing a bit looser then me but he sure wouldn't continue betting like this with a 2.

I think Villain's range looks like this:

Board: (preflop)
Pos  Equity  Range
BU   60.34% { AKo }
BB   39.66% { 77+,A8s+,A5s-A3s,K9s+,K6s-K4s,Q9s+,J8s+,T8s+,98s,87s,76s,65s,AJo+,KJo+ }

OTR i narrowed down his range to something like this:

Board: 8♥2♣8♣ K♠ J♣
Pos  Equity  Range
BU   58.01% { AKo }
BB   41.99% { TT+,88,AKs,AJs,A8s,KJs+,QJs,J8s+,T8s,98s,87s,AJo+,KJo+,AcQc,AcTc,Ac9c,Ac6c,Ac5c,KcTc,Kc9c,QcTc,Qc9c,Tc9c }

Seeing those percentages I'm not sure if I made a good fold after all. What do you think?

Without any info on the villain in this hand I would most likely fold the river as well. Decent change villain has a flush. It seems unlikely villain would lead with trips on the flop but on NL2 you never know.

I think you are giving to opponent so wide 3B calling range. Did you call 3B with K4s .. or something like this?
I see that flop is more on side calling range BB. He could have 88, A8s, AcTc ....

this a really weird line by villain, but we're just going to have to call down (could also raise turn btw)

we're calling down because villain should not lead on the flop, thus making it hard to define his range and we have a really good hand and need to be good only 1/(1+1+1.59) = 27%

when we can't define villains range accurately, i would try to call down the strongest hands in my own range - AK is in there

as far as population tendencies go - recreationals generally don't give up on bluffs, so if he was bluffing on the turn - he'll continue a high % of the time here on this river (scare) card

or simply put - we will not be folding many top pairs top kickers in a 3 bet pot

I guess fold is OK
Villain has mostly no air in his range when barreling flop turn and river

He can have hands like
22
99-QQ
8x

Most likely 22 or 8x
