Just one day left and week is over again....

so a bigger update will follow during next week => a new month will start and it is time to write something about my plans to improve my poker play....

so far it seems that the difference between NL2 and NL5 is bigger than expected.
So stats from villains seem more reasonable...
Table selection is really a thing which has to be done. Tables are not as profitable as on NL2...

Hi guys,

i went on tilt and lost nearly most of my roll....
But standing up again and moving down to NL2 let me survive....

So i try out something new after playing 3 to 4 regular tables did not work for me, i will continue with just 1 table zoom...
hopefully BR will grow continiously....
results for April so far...

GL for all of you

I don't know if you noticed or not, but yesterday while I fired up some NL2Z tables to set up my tracker after reinstall and played some hands together.

In one of them we played for stacks and ended up splitting the pot after dealing twice :f_biggrin:

Could you identify what was the reason behind your tilt?

Good luck for your BR rebuild! :f_drink:

Hi Lahti,

yes i remember you....

Hm, difficult to say, i guess tilt was caused due to a few more reasons....
I know even a few of them don`t know if it are all, but do not want to write here in the forum....

i you want to discuss and maybe have some ideas how to avoid tilt in future send me a message (PM or discord)

I had a hand where i made my "Lucky hit" => one outer....

The question is was it O.K. to shove the KK in this situation pre?

PokerStars - $0.16 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BTN: $21.48 (134.3 bb)
SB: $19.25 (120.3 bb)
BB: $3.94 (24.6 bb)
UTG: $20.76 (129.8 bb)
MP: $36.56 (228.5 bb)
Hero (CO): $16.08 (100.5 bb)

SB posts $0.08, BB posts $0.16

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.24) Hero has K♠: K♦:
UTG calls $0.16, fold, Hero raises to $0.80, BTN raises to $2.25, 2 folds, UTG raises to $20.76 and is all-in, Hero calls $15.28 and is all-in, BTN calls $18.51

Spoiler

Flop: ($57.84, 3 players) 9♠: 3♥: 8♣:

Turn: ($57.84, 3 players) K♥:

River: ($57.84, 3 players) Q♣:

Results: $57.84 pot ($0.00 rake)
Final Board: 9♠: 3♥: 8♣: K♥: Q♣:

UTG shows A♠: K♣:: (One Pair, Kings)
Main Pot: [$48.48]: (Pre 5%, Flop 0%, Turn 0%)
Side Pot: [$9.36]: (Pre 6%, Flop 0%, Turn 0%)

BTN shows A♥: A♦:: (One Pair, Aces)
Main Pot: [$48.48]: (Pre 85%, Flop 95%, Turn 2%)
Side Pot: [$9.36]: (Pre 94%, Flop 100%, Turn 100%)

Hero shows K♠: K♦:: (Three of a Kind, Kings)
Main Pot: [$48.48]: (Pre 10%, Flop 5%, Turn 98%)

BTN wins $9.36
Hero wins $46.60

I guess limp shove is always a strong range (QQ+ & AK)
Range from BTN would be strong as well ((JJ+ AQ+ and maybe some semi bluffs A2s-A5s)

So the questions is would shoving KK in this situation +EV in the long run?
On the other hand, can i fold KK in such a spot without having a read on villains? (BTN might find a fold here with his weaker holdings and just call with KK+, right?)

Have a nice sunday and a succesful grind.

In this hand, you didn't really have the opportunity, since UTG shoved first.
If you mean 3Bet shove vs UTG's initial raise, I personally prefer the 3Bet.
I would never fold this after BTNs cold 4Bet either.

Hi all,
hi LahtiPelican,

just a quick info because actual i do not have as much time as i would like to have....
Zoom at NL16 is quiete interesting and has some variance and some better players and some worse players...
not a big sample, but could be beatable in in the long run, but you can have some bad sessions as well....

Hi guys,

i guess it is best not playing zoom.
I think it is beatable but i have trouble to deal with it.
So decision is to continue with regular tables..
Actual NL10 to gain back confidence and building up a nice BR....
Last week variance and luck where absolut on my side....
