You were in the top 0,15% of players in a big pool like this? Wow, awesome result, congratulations! _drink:

I am not familiar with MTT lobbies, did you win $340,18 bounties included or $340,18 and extra $301,44 in bounties?

Notice how everyone around him has locked up $340,18 but have different bounties. His total result is 640 bucks.
Congrats btw!

Here is the graph from the tournament in BB. Only 600 hands total. Variance is just extremely high. I wasn't primarily lucky on all-ins. I think mostly the card distribution was in my favor. (the net won doesn't include the bounties)

Here is a hand I played vs PS member and friend Talisker74. Nothing special. I guess, we could also fold vs. the 4bet. I don't see a way to continue here vs such a large bet OTF. Even with GS, I guess, our equity is not good enough vs UTG 4bet range.

PokerStars - $0.16 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 369.25 BB
SB: 125.94 BB
BB: 100 BB
UTG: 100 BB
Hero (MP): 100 BB
CO: 128.19 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♠ Q♠

UTG raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG raises to 22 BB, Hero calls 13 BB

Flop: (45.5 BB, 2 players) 9♠ A♣ T♦
UTG bets 28.69 BB, fold

UTG wins 42.94 BB

Hi Monte,

i guess you could nothing do except folding here :f_drink:

But you seem to 3bet quiete wide vs UTG, is that hand in your standard range?
If i bet OOP on that flop is always for value....

Cheers
Talisker

Yes it's a pure 3bet MP vs UTG. But flatting the 4bet is a mix vs opponents with a balanced 4bet bluffing range. I wasn't sure but, but I expect you do have a 4bet bluffing range here?

No i don`t have a bluffing range in that situation.
3 bet vs UTG is mostly very strong and from MP i guess most players won`t have a bluffing range on that limit...

Very strong is relative, given that UTG opens maybe 16-18% of hands, a 3betting range of 7-8% seems reasonable.
In the Equilab Screenshot, I see that you have A5s-A2s in UTG's range, those are 4bet bluffs to me.

But i would never bet these hands vs skilled Player on such a board in 3bet pot.

Your Range is strong as well and you will not fold very much of your range here

thanks! yeah I am still playing, do not have much time, so progress is slow, process is what I am focusing on, and it has to do with mindset a lot, too.
doing the work is the short cut! will maybe write about it some more later, but the BR challenge distracts me too much right now.
hope you are doing well, too

I can totally understand the struggle of playing on the lowest limits. It can be tough, but you've already made great progress by beating NL2z. Moving up to NL5 is a big step, but don't worry too much about the downswing you faced.
