I dont have much information about SB, like 38/17 in 83 hands

How much would you bet?
With only 8 BB betting only with a vulnerable straight draw, and sitting as the shortest stack, I don't think that this is the hill you want to die on.
I vote check back the flop as you did.
The turn fold is also correct in that case
I want to see what the SNG gurus think though...
3 handed and based on the stacks on the table this is a 18 players SNG. Than this isn't a bubble situation.
Villain looks passive and I don't think bluffing will work to often and I would go for a cheap way to hit the straight so short.

Yes it is.
Payout structure is 40/30/20/10, so you have 5, 4 and 3handed bubble. And chipcounts sum is 27 000

Well normally, "the bubble" is reserved for that situation when the next player eliminated gets $0.00
One the bubble has burst, the pay jumps afterward are call just that — pay jumps. People also call them ladders or steps.

As the short stack with 8BB left I still think that the check OTF and the turn fold is correct play here.
Your welcome, but was easy to spot it. At a 6 player SNG only 9.000 chips at the table and 18 players SNG has 3 times more chips.
Hero's play is fine for sure. I would only bluff against a tight villain on the flop.
